I’m feeling like an influencer tonight and why not?🤩

Because how on earth am I a Food & Lifestyle Content Creator and got the same job on Upwork when my profile is totally in a different niche?

The funny thing is, I didn’t go there advertising myself as a food creator. I didn’t even apply for this particular job. They just invited me, and I immediately knew this was a sign and a great opportunity.

Well, I went through the process and I got the OFFER. 😭

So apparently, all those things I’ve been doing for free on Fb from cooking, eating, taking pictures, making videos, and sharing my little lifestyle moments are about to pay off somewhere I least expected. Somebody looked at me and said, “Madam, come and do this thing and let us pay you.” 😁

And the sweet part? I’m doing it until I say, “Okay guys, I’m no longer doing this.”

But honestly, this one got me thinking about August.

August actually started with a rejection mail. I remember seeing that email saying they had decided to go with another candidate, and honestly, I was disappointed. This wasn’t just any opportunity. It was a long-term job with really good pay, and I genuinely wanted it.

I was emotional about it.

But look at how the same August ended.

An invitation came from somewhere I wasn’t expecting.

And that invitation became an offer on September 1st. 🥹

Funny how life works.

The opportunity I cried over didn’t happen, but another one quietly found me.

And no, this one isn’t bigger than the one I lost. It’s actually a short gig, but I’m grateful for it with everything in me.

Because sometimes we’re so busy mourning the opportunity we didn’t get that we forget to appreciate the ones that actually found their way to us.

So today, I’m grateful for:
For the invitation.
For the opportunity.
For the little wins.
For the unexpected wins.
And for the fact that somehow, things keep connecting even when I don’t understand them.

And to every freelancer who has ever gotten a rejection and immediately started questioning their life, please breathe.

One client can say NO today, and another person can wake up tomorrow and say, “We want you.”

Keep showing up.

You honestly never know where the next opportunity is coming from. ❤️

Anyway, I can now answer Food & Lifestyle Content Creator with my full chest from today.
