This commercial private cinema was designed to blur the line between luxury hospitality and entertainment. We moved away from conventional seating and created an oversized lounge experience that encourages relaxation, conversation, and connection. Every texture, every fabric, every lighting detail was carefully selected to make guests feel immersed, comfortable, and completely detached from the outside world.

The moody dark palette absorbs distractions, while the blue ambient glow creates depth and a cinematic atmosphere that instantly sets the tone. The result is a space that feels intimate, exclusive, and unforgettable.

Because the best cinemas don’t just show stories.
They make you feel like you’re inside one.

Because Today’s guests crave comfort, exclusivity, and experiences worth talking about.

Against the black backdrop, both colours come alive beautifully. The contrast creates a layered visual experience where every element feels intentional from the plush fabrics and soft throws to the moody lighting that washes the walls with subtle highlights.

This isn’t a cinema designed to follow trends. It’s a cinema designed to evoke emotion.

At Phunkifyd Interiors, we believe entertainment spaces should be more than functional. They should transport you. The uncommon marriage of burgundy and olive green gave us exactly that! a cinematic sanctuary that feels luxurious, intimate, and effortlessly timeless.

When we designed BOXXCENTRAL, our goal wasn’t to create a trendy space.

Our goal was to create a destination.

A place where people could celebrate, compete, laugh, unwind, and make memories.

The reception became the perfect introduction to that story! bold enough to capture attention, functional enough to serve hundreds of guests, and memorable enough to remain in people’s minds long after they leave.

That is what great commercial design should do.

This project is a reminder that recreational spaces deserve just as much intentionality as luxury homes.

We stepped into this space at its earliest stage, with a vision to create one of the most unforgettable recreational experiences.

The first slide? Me… speaking my very “questionable” Yoruba 😂 raw, unfiltered, and completely in the moment.

But going through these slides again days later, it hit differently…
