THE STORY OF AN ASTRAY LOVE👇👇👇
Ebuka and Zara have been married for 5 years with 2 children. But recently, Zara has been complaining that all Ebuka does is work, work, work, and work. She doesn't feel the first love Ebuka gave her during the first four years of their marriage. It's like he loves his work first and every other thing comes after. Last week, Ebuka came back from work at 2am and saw Zara awake with puffy eyes- she had been crying all night and into the morning. Upon seeing him, she began to cry again. She cried and talked of how she had called and texted to find out where he was so late at night but he neither responded to the texts nor returned the calls. She had even called family members to call. They all did but he also didn't respond. She was waiting to for a missing person's report that morning before he had walked it. Finally, and in tears, she asked, 'Where were you?'
'At work', he answered. The tears came like a river. With no words while Zara stared blankly at him, the tears came, no sound made, just tears. He knew he had broken her. She wouldn't put up with this for long. She didn't say any of these but he heard it. In the silence, he heard it and he heard it loud. Loud as a school bell. He saw in her eyes the despair and longing for a husband she once had. He saw how she now competed with his work. He saw how she left him, left him to nothing but his work and then he felt what she felt. EMPTY! He fell at her feet with teary eyes and he cried. Like a newborn Ebuka cried his way into the morning as Zara left him to the children's room. He knew he had been chasing a contract that would change their lives forever but he saw how worthless it would be without Zara. He loved her with a love that drove him mad yet he had erred. It's been a week now and their home is gradually becoming four walls with two roommates and two children. It's been crickets and blizzards since that day. Last night, he cried and told her why he has been working tirelessly and promised not to go anymore because it all feels empty. He asked to hold her as he slept. She didn't refuse but she didn't utter a word.
..to a love that has been through the storm🥂
