The process of creating the completely upcycled look “Underneath The Cracks” 💥🪡

When working with discarded materials, I draw inspiration from their original texture, shape, and details, designing from the elements they already hold.🌟

I got my ideas through draping and experimentation, while also developing digital patterns in CLO. This process allowed me to transform what was once waste into a new, unique garment. I especially loved exploring new material manipulation techniques, such as slashing and laser printing.🤩

"Underneath The Cracks" - A COMPLETELY UPCYCLED LOOK💥♻️

The cracks symbolizes the old and broken that people discarded and overlook and I want to show that there is still beauty underneath the cracks! 🌟I want to bring back out the beauty in items that were lost in other’s eyes. Through fabric manipulation and laser printing, I transformed discarded items, giving it a new life.

On the runway 📸🌟 thank you .style.show for inviting me to showcase my sustainable collection at ♻️ Giving me a stage to spread the message of creating a more sustainable and circular fashion ecosystem and my inspiration behind my garments!

A lot of these pieces are given a new life by transforming discarded and broken garments through overprinting- a mending technique I have learnt and loved during the in Barcelona this past month .bcn with my mentor 🤗

Mending is such a powerful tool! It’s amazing to see how with a bit of creativity, we can prolong an items life to be cherished for much longer 💚

This illustration highlights the inequalities within fashion - merging art, advocacy, and storytelling. With this, I want to highlight that behind every garment and pattern are real people and stories, and show how creativity can shine a light on inequality and inspire reflection.
