Hi there! Did you know that besides being an interior designer, I’m also a contemporary artist?

Many of the artworks I create are commissioned, which means they’re designed specifically for a space before they even exist. And that’s where things get really fun.

I can create a piece with the right scale, colors, texture, and overall feel to complement the interior—so instead of simply finding art that works in the space, we create art that fits it like a glove.

For me, art isn’t something you add at the end. It should be part of the design from the very beginning—and usually, it’s the element that brings everything together.

Wall color is an extremely underestimated aspect of design. It can completely transform a space, but it can also take away from it when not chosen carefully.

Cohesiveness doesn’t mean that everything has to match. It means that everything has to have a relationship with what surrounds it. Just like in a work of art, the colors in a room need to be carefully considered. Every tone affects the next one, and even a subtle change can shift the entire ambience of the space.

As I put this reel together, I find myself preparing for my next visit to Belgium.
Lately, I’ve been reminding myself to travel more mindfully. To be fully present. To appreciate how fortunate I am to visit my family so often, to enjoy the beauty of the city they call home, and to embrace the unexpected opportunities each trip brings. Every new connection has the potential to open a new door, and there’s something beautiful about not knowing where those doors might lead.

Above all, I want to be present for it all with my full attention, my curiosity, and a grateful heart.

A piece of my living room corner through the years…
For me, feeling at home has very little to do with where I am. Whether it’s Austin, San Juan, or anywhere else, I need to create a space that feels like me. I believe every object should have meaning, and every piece should connect with everything else somehow

This time around in Austin I was blessed with a beautiful balance of Work, Family and Friends quality time, nature and plenty of great memories.

But remember difficult things usually are not shown on social media but believe me, there were a handful. My van’s transmission and then the mechanic, who I will just say is not highly recommended and together they kept me on the edge of my seat. but it’s ok, every trip needs a little character!

Now back in Puerto Rico, happy to be with the other part of my family again and excited to keep working on the projects already in progress here
