A little GLUE recap ✨

During GLUE Amsterdam, I presented my monumental modular textile wall piece Iréka at Cosentino The Netherlands 💫

Alongside Iréka, I showed a selection of modular textile objects, from sculptural pieces to wearable accessories. Together, they demonstrate how the same construction method can translate into different forms, scales and applications, from wearable to wall piece, and from object to interior.

This step into larger-scale work also marks a new phase in my practice, with my modular textile technique increasingly finding applications in interior architecture, hospitality and site-specific projects.

A big thank you to the entire COSENTINO team, especially Lara Regnault , for the beautiful setting and stunning photographs. And thank you to everyone who stopped by, asked questions and shared ideas!

The talk Sustainability Beyond the Trend by Evelien Reich also offered inspiring insights and food for thought on sustainability as more than a passing trend.

And finally, thank you to the GLUE team for the great organisation and inspiring guided tours. A wonderful way to discover different perspectives and stories within Amsterdam’s design scene.

10 years of mentoring. 50 interns. And now… nominated for Best Practice Mentor 2026! 🎉

I’m incredibly happy to share that I’ve been nominated as one of three candidates for Best Practice Mentor 2026 in the sector of Specialist Craftsmanship in the Netherlands.

Since 2016, my studio has also been a place where students can learn what it’s really like to work in a creative practice. Over the past ten years, I’ve had the pleasure of mentoring around 50 interns, each with their own talents, questions, ideas and way of looking at the world.

For me, mentoring is about much more than teaching practical skills. It’s about giving students the confidence to experiment, make mistakes, solve problems, take responsibility and discover what kind of maker they want to become.

And it works both ways: I learn so much from my interns too. Their fresh perspectives and unexpected questions often challenge me to look at my own practice differently.

So this nomination feels extra special. ❤️

The sector winner will be announced at the end of September, and will then compete for the national title of Best Practice Mentor in the Netherlands, to be announced in November.

A little colour story from Museum Barberini in Potsdam 🎨 Museum Barberini Museum Barberini Der Shop

For the exhibition Symphony of Colors: Paul Signac and Neo-Impressionism, I was invited to create a custom collection for the museum shop. The starting point was three paintings: two by Paul Signac and one by Henri-Edmond Cross.

After exploring different proposals, we arrived at these three colourways, an abstract translation of the paintings into my modular textile language. I love seeing how the colours and shapes come together, and especially how beautifully they fit with the visual merchandising of the museum shop.

Creating custom collections like this is one of the things I love most about my work. It’s not only about translating an artwork into a product, but about finding a way to capture its colours and character in a completely different material and form.

And this isn’t limited to museum shops! I also love working with other retailers and brands to develop bespoke collections that connect their identity, story or surroundings with my modular designs.🧩

Meet me at booth D09 at Design District Rotterdam ✨

From May 27–29 I’ll be presenting the tapestry Iréka at Design District in the iconic Van Nelle Fabriek in Rotterdam. After being shown at Carpet Diem in Paris, the work will now be introduced to the Dutch interior design field.

Design District brings together interior architects, stylists, brands, designers and design enthusiasts, making it a place for inspiring conversations, new connections and fresh perspectives on spatial design.

Looking forward to sharing the work and exploring new possibilities for modular textiles within interiors.

Lately, my work has been expanding more and more into interior applications, a new direction where my modular textile techniques scale up into spatial installations. At the same time, the accessory collection is still running at full speed🚀 That combination is what makes it especially interesting, but also sometimes a bit of a balancing act...

All the more special to be included in Chantal’s favourites in &C Magazine. A nice moment to also put the wearables in the spotlight 💫

I was invited to join 'The Showcase' at .nl Amsterdam, an exhibition opportinity that highlights local design and craftsmanship, surrounded by the more permanent presentations of established interior partners. For a period of three months my work is on display at this lovely venue.
