Super excited to be part of the group exhibition at The Paxton Centre this month after a three year break from the art world. For me this isn’t about selling pieces or making connections, it’s about activating that part of my brain again and having fun doing it. Creating something that makes me happy.
The work shown is part of a series of photos I’ve been unknowingly collecting over the last ten years called Flowers in the Ground. I think it’s cool when nature finds a way through the things we’ve built around it and often take a photo of it without thinking about what that photo will become.
Also showing is Isolation: A Love Story, a collaboration with Olivia Mulligan. Another collection of photographs that Olivia then responded to with poetry. I love that these images had been sitting around waiting for something to happen to them, and ended up becoming this.
