Summer is cherry 🍒 season!
We just finished a trip to Central Otago, and the freshly picked cherries were absolutely amazing!
We were like birds in the cherry orchard! 🤣
I’m happy to eat cherries straight away, but it’s also delicious—and a bit fancy—to enjoy them in a cake.
I’ve failed at sponge cake before, so this time I made a chiffon cake base instead.

Goyza 🥟 with veggie salad 🥗 for lunch

It has been a busy week, as usual.
I’ve been thinking about doing something different or learning new skills for myself for a while.

Eventually, I enrolled in a one-off poetry class to break out of the routine.
I haven’t been to the pottery class for ages, and it was so much fun!
I was fully concentrated, and nothing interrupted or distracted me during the two-hour workshop.
I was so hungry after the workshop and came home to cook the crispy goyza for lunch.
I ran out of veggies in my fridge and used the last of the lettuce, cucumber, and mandarin to make a summer salad with a simple olive oil and balsamic vinegar dressing.
Just right for a beautiful sunny Saturday!
I’m really looking forward to seeing my little art pieces in two weeks!

Moon cakes 2023🥮

好久沒更新了
自從上班後
每天的生活緊湊又忙碌
孩子提醒我很久沒拍照更新了😅

今年中秋節前後做了3批蛋黃酥、芋頭酥和抹茶紅豆麻糬酥
好幸運有同事做的綠豆椪
一次吃了好多口味～～～

今年和小子們醃鹹蛋、敲鹹蛋
自己做的月餅好好吃🤤
這幾天又是狂風💨下雨☔️
在家泡熱茶🍵配月餅🥮
竟然已完食！

一起做月餅的日子會持續多久呢？
