🐷✨ Meet Pigesus - New on the website

Once a tired 1950s dresser, now a wonderfully whimsical one-of-a-kind piece of functional art.

I rescued this solid timber dresser and gave it a completely new personality — colourful flying pig artwork across the drawer fronts, complemented by a soft natural washed timber-look top.

Pigesus may be playful, but it’s practical too. The drawers run beautifully and there’s plenty of storage for clothes, toys and childhood treasures, making it perfect for a child’s bedroom, nursery or creative play space.

And one of my favourite parts? Instead of ending up in landfill, this lovely old dresser gets to begin another chapter. 💛

✨ Coffee Station Transformation Inspiration ✨

This cabinet was originally going to be used as a bathroom vanity, but I immediately saw a different possibility for it — a beautiful, practical coffee station.

My vision is to remove the mirror, refresh the timber with a soft light wash, and paint the cabinet in a custom blend of Dixie Belle Silk Baja Grey and Sea Breeze. The butterfly decoupage paper from Mint by Michelle will add a lovely feature to the back of the open shelf.

Styled with cups, coffee canisters and a few simple accessories, it could become the perfect addition to an Airbnb, granny flat, guest suite or cosy kitchen corner.

I love looking beyond a piece’s original purpose and imagining how it could be beautifully reimagined for a new home. What do you think of this transformation idea? ☕🦋

🌺 New on the website — Poppy Bloom Bedside Cabinet

This little bedside cabinet has been completely reimagined into a bright, one-of-a-kind piece full of colour and personality.

The poppy design gives it a cheerful botanical feel, while its compact size makes it perfect beside a bed, in a guest room, or as a small feature cabinet elsewhere in the home.

I love transforming practical furniture into something that feels expressive and unique — a piece that’s useful, but also brings a little joy into the room.

Every transformation starts with a vision...

These are the three pieces currently waiting in my workshop, and I already have ideas for every one of them.

I love this stage of the creative process—imagining colours, finishes and all the possibilities before the first brushstroke.

💙 The Story Behind My Peacock Wardrobe

This wardrobe started with a simple reason—I actually needed a wardrobe for myself!

It also gave me the chance to experiment with blending some of my favourite coastal blues, inspired by the ocean. Using shades like Peacock, Mermaid's Tail, Pure Ocean, The Gulf and Bunker Hill Blue, I wanted to create depth, movement and a calm coastal feel.

The oak wasn't in a condition to restore naturally, so instead I chose to completely reimagine it. As the colours came together, the peacock design felt like the perfect finishing touch.

This wasn't a project with a detailed plan. It evolved as I painted, with no rules—just imagination, creativity and trusting the process.

It's still one of my favourite transformations because it reminds me that sometimes the best creations happen when you let the piece guide you.
