Yesterday Mum and I had a huge day full of Prepping, Dyeing, Weaving and lots of Kai breaks 😂 I managed to make this Kono (four cornered basket) with a handle made with extra Harakeke and drift wood collected from the beach. End result is a bit skrunky for my liking but hey how else am I supposed to get better 🤷🏽‍♀️

Yesterday I really wanted to weave another Kete Waikawa but wasnt able to until I got home late in the evening. I wish I had waited for the next day because I began to feel my frustration in my mahi as I was heading toward the end. Thank goodness for mum she came to the rescue and finished off my large mistake 😂 a lesson learnt 🩵
