It's been quite the adventure getting to Hokitika. Yesterday, due to weather, I decided to head east through the pig route and on to Timaru for the night.
This morning I headed towards Arthur's Pass via the inland route, only to be detoured by flooding. It added an extra hour to the trip😪. When I finally made it to the pass it was very wet and windy with a beautiful rainbow 😊. I was very relieved to make it to Hokitika late this afternoon. I was in time to catch the sun setting into the ocean.😍
Tomorrow you will find me at The Cool Little Market in Hokitika, from 10-3. 😊

I just had to share this as it made me laugh 😂

This afternoon I decided to make a LP bouquet of rubber daffs to donate to a local daffodil day fundraiser.
I made the daffs, and slipped them into the LP sleeve. I was feeling pretty happy with how they had turned out 😊.
I then flipped the LP over to see what it was. I just cracked up 😂. "You don't bring me flowers" by Neil Dimond 🤣🤣🤣

I haven't been doing a lot of markets recently. So I thought I'd share other random things I've been working on.

🌺 Good friends have recently moved from Central Otago. As a leaving/housewarming present I made them some wind chimes. Central Otago pebbles and spoons with family names engraved. A little reminder of their life in Central Otago when the wind blows. 🤗

🌺 A special friend celebrated a big birthday. With forks representing hands, joining together to form a heart ❤️. A sign of our friendship.

🌺 I also became an Aunty of Greatness for the 7th time. Repurposing my childhood sleeping bag, that I've had in my cupboard for 35+ years. It has now left the building 😊, but stayed in the family. Becoming a floor rug for the little chap to roll around on.

🌺 I've been playing with new ideas. Feather fish knife pendants.🐟

Car-daffs, not only for your car 🚙. Brighten up your door, fence or garden 😊

Made from an LP and a 45, they are $20 each.
$10 from each Car-daff with be donated to Daffodil day at the end of August.

I will have some available tomorrow at the Victoria Arms hotel Matariki market. If you get the chance, pop in an say hi. Open 10 am - 3 pm.

Also.... if you're in the area, pop next door to the masonic lodge and pick up a swede, or two. $3 each or 2 for $5 😊
