🐻Winnie the Pooh has arrived at the library!🍯

With Book Week coming up, I’ve been having a little fun behind the scenes creating some book-themed character balloon creations!

This sweet Winnie the Pooh balloon bouquet was recently gifted to Te Whata o Kaituna, South Dunedin Community Library and I think Pooh is looking rather at home amongst all their beautiful books!

I’ve been experimenting with different book and storybook characters in balloon form, and as usual, I’ve got plenty more ideas bouncing around my head!

If you’d like to brighten up a library, school, book-themed event or gift a Balloon Boquet for a birthday, baby shower, leaving/teacher gift or any kind of special occasion - get in touch! I would love to create one for you to any theme of your choice!

I had a little unexpected fangirl moment over Stardust the other day… 🤣👽🛸

I popped into town to post some of my HanAhrt fire prop orders and happened to glance over at the newspaper stand…

There was Stardust the Alien sitting proudly on the front page of the Low Down paper for the South Dunedin Street Festival !

Without even thinking I blurted out, “Oh my gosh… it’s Stardust the Alien!” 😂

The lovely lady behind the counter looked just a little confused. I think she thought I was talking to her for a second! 🤭

It honestly never gets old seeing my HanAhrt characters popping up in newspapers, online and all around. It’s such a surreal and incredibly special feeling.

🫧🦖✨…Then to top it all off, I spotted Chompy the Dinosaur featured on Fortify Events NZ page today too!

It seems my HanAhrt characters really have been getting around lately!

The South Dunedin Street Festival has become one of my absolute favourite events on the Dunedin calendar. It celebrates everything that makes our city so special. Local artists, musicians, performers, makers, crafters, delicious food, community groups, creativity and thousands of people all coming together showing off some incredible local team work for a truly magical day!!

The atmosphere is always buzzing, the community support is amazing, and it’s one of those events that leaves you smiling all day.

A huge thank you to everyone involved in making it happen. I’m already counting down until next year’s festival and can’t wait to see you all there and what creative adventures it brings! 💜🎨✨
