An ode to the princess of Spring! This has been the longest Tulip season for us so far (thanks to our tunnel/crate growing experiment) and I keep thinking ‘this must be the last week’…… well with all of this warm weather I can say with confidence that we will only have tulips for one.more.week! You can find them in our farm shop tomorrow and a fresh batch will also be winging their way to the Chelty General store tomorrow too 🫶

Early spring is one of my favourite times of the year.

This Spring I’m having a go at air drying these beauties to see if I can preserve the essence of spring to enjoy all year round.

Traditionally these flowers are not typically dried so it’s a bit of an experiement 😊

Couldn’t resist! (Iykyk 😉)
We may not be selling houses like the legendary Heatha Edwards but we will have beautiful blooms available from our farm shop 9-4 Saturdays throughout the growing season.

Tomorrow’s menu includes all the best Spring flowers - specialty tulips, ranunculus etc!

An ode to Winter Texture 🙌 🥰

Icelandic poppies are one of those flowers that are best seen in person to appreciate their beauty.

🫶Their petals (particularly the colibri variety) look like crushed silk 👌
🫶 They have flowered for me (at least the last couple of years) in the dead of winter when not much else is happening.
🫶 Watching them transform in the vase from bud to bloom is part of the magic.

I found the first few buds emerging on the farm today so it shouldn’t be too long before we are getting some decent stems 😍
