Nola's Minis

It's all my friends fault! A suggestion, a challenge - next thing you know, I'm crocheting free-form "scrumbles".

Made from fine-ish acrylic yarn, I'm going to use some for my art gallery, I think they'll look great with abstract art. As mats, and smaller ones hung on the wall.

What do you think? I know this art form isn't for everyone, in fact, I never thought I'd ever make any. But my mother {the inspiration behind Nola's Minis} used to do lovely free-form knitting & crochet. I think she'd be very happy to see these. :)

Definitely very much , no two will ever be alike.

It's been a long while since Nola's Minis has had an update, my apologies. We lost my dad {Nola's husband} a year ago, and life 'shifted' slightly. But, I'm back! And enthused! 😄😁

In the New Yesr I'll have new items made, and for sale. Here's a little taste of what's to come - crochet & OOAK* bags. Also ... small & large crochet Mandalas, to put on the wall/table/floor. Photos soon. :)

I've just made some very tiny {extremely fiddly} hand-drawn cards for Nola's shop. Fiddly yes, but also fun - I think I'll make more. I've also cut some from scrapbooking paper, now I need teeny stickers for them.

In "Nola's" shop I had a basket of yarn, and 12 shelves full. I've just spent a very enjoyable hour bagging up the basket full, and four of the shelves. They're going to look so much nicer in the shop. Now to decide if I'm going to do them all.

My mother was a very keen member of the Thames Miniatures club {she was secretary/treasurer for quite a few years}. I helped her put together this "Creative Fibre" room, we had a lot of fun doing it. I made all the balls of yarn, she did most of the knitting. We talked about what would happen to her minis when she was gone, and I immediately claimed this one - which she was very happy with. She passed on almost 2 years ago, and this is now mine.

My 10 yo grandson Finn has just helped me to dust, and rearrange. I've added extra items, as it was a little sparse - the sewing machines, large cabinet, and fabric are all new. Now I need to make a few more things to go in it - hats, crafts etc. We're going to call it "Nola's Knit & Crafts" in Mum's honour.

Nola's Minis is up and running!
We couldn't wait to share our new goodies with you, so while we are working on creating a new shop all of our items for sale are in albums.

We have lots of new products to add so watch this space!
