Back in 1996, we took a leap of faith by tendering for the Rangitikei Streetlighting Maintenance Contract. It was a gamble—but one that helped shape the future of our business.

Since that first successful contract, we've proudly delivered streetlighting maintenance services for communities across New Zealand, including Horowhenua, Ruapehu, Whanganui, Palmerston North, Taupō, South Waikato, Waikato, Eastern Bay of Plenty, Masterton, Carterton, Manawatū, Hauraki, South Wairarapa, Ōtorohanga, and Matamata-Piako.

Nearly 30 years later, we're still committed to keeping our communities safe by maintaining the streetlights that illuminate our roads, footpaths, and public spaces.

We'd like to thank the councils, contractors, and communities that have trusted The Downs Group over the years. We look forward to continuing to light the way for many years to come.

If you cruised past Centennial Park today, you might have noticed some activity going on the netball court floodlights 💡

Our Parks and Reserves team and ourcontractors The Downs Group have replaced the five old bulbs with new LED lights. These are much more energy efficient, longer lasting, and they provide better illumination for court users 🏐

And it's not just Centennial Park that's been done! The courts at Bulls Domain have had their floodlights replaced as well 😁
