🐱 Another Custom Kitty Finds a New Home!

Meet Ryder's latest custom creation — a very special crochet cat that proved to be a bit more challenging than your average feline.

The mission? Match the colours of a cat from a photo.

The solution? Deploy Nana. 🧶

After receiving her urgent assignment, Nana headed off on a yarn-hunting expedition to the new craft store in Tauriko. Several aisles, much deliberation, and one successful shopping trip later, the perfect yarn was found.

The result was a colour match that was very close — or should we say, nearly purr-fect. 😸

Thankfully, the birthday recipient was delighted with their new furry friend. The best part? This kitty doesn't shed, scratch the furniture, or demand breakfast at 5am.

It does, however, provide excellent snuggles.

🐙 Meet Henry — Auckland’s Newest Eight-Legged Resident!

It’s been a little quiet on the Snuggle Stitch page lately… but for good reason. Ryder has been BUSY working on his Wearable Arts Competition entry 👀 (more on that soon… and trust us, it’s pretty cool).

In between all the creative chaos, he somehow found time to crochet this giant blue-and-white octopus for this adorable little two-year-old girl. 💙

She’s named him Henry — and judging by the size of him, we’re not entirely sure there’ll be much room left in the bed for anyone else. 🐙😴

Henry has already travelled around the North Island and now officially calls Auckland home. Not bad for a crochet octopus. Most of us struggle to organise a weekend away.

🐰 Easter Goodies Are Landing at Snuggle Stitch!

Just in time for Easter, the Snuggle Stitch team have been busy getting ready for The Little Big Markets — and things are looking very cute (and slightly chocolatey).

First up… our granny square pouches 🧶

🍀 Happy St Patrick’s Day from Snuggle Stitch!

Speaking of all things green, the Snuggle Stitch team struck a bit of luck recently — they found some chunky green chenille yarn at the local craft store. It’s been ages since that colour made an appearance on the shelves, so naturally Ryder grabbed it before anyone else could.

Back in the workshop, the crochet hooks got moving and two brand-new characters were born.

Meet Puff the Green Dragon 🐉 and Lyle the Crocodile 🐊 — both handmade with love, plenty of fluff, and just a hint of mischief.

These two cuties will be making their market debut at The Little Big Markets, and they’re already looking for their forever homes.

🐱 A Custom Kitty Heads to Te Puna!

Another special Snuggle Stitch creation has just been completed and sent off to its new home in sunny Te Puna.

This custom kitty was inspired by a much-loved feline companion who apparently has a talent for coming home with very dirty paws… so we’re hoping this crochet version decides to stay indoors.

The good news? These cuddly creations are made with beautiful soft chenille yarn, which means they’re machine washable and come up looking as good as new after a spin in the washing machine. Handy — especially if they get loved a lot.

🧶 Late Night Stitches (and Some Very Happy Dogs)

The Snuggle Stitch workshop has been extra busy lately. Earlier this month, Ryder stayed up very late finishing a special birthday surprise for his mum — a beautiful handmade blanket.

Luckily Nana was on hand for backup, and the two of them were frantically working the crochet hooks until the final stitch was done. Teamwork at its finest.

The good news? Mum absolutely loved it and it now has pride of place on the bed.

The slight complication…

Frankie and Maisy quickly developed a serious case of FOMO.

As you can see here (please don’t tell Mum), they’ve already claimed the blanket as their official afternoon sun-nap headquarters. Naughty puppies… but we suspect they’re just helping with “snuggle testing.” 🐾
