Today is National Granny Square Day! This is the first one I ever made almost 3 years ago when I started learning to crochet. If you’ve always wanted to learn just do it! YouTube has some amazing videos to help.

It’s hard to get a good photo of a blanket/throw! It’s definitely been a labour of love this one but I love it! It’s a Sirda pattern called blossom and buds with just one slight modification by me. Let me know what you think.

I don’t usually make things with lots of colour changes but the project which I’ve just finished, does have a few of those. Here is the pile of ‘ends’ from changing colour and finishing. I feel slightly guilty for making so much waste. Wonder what I could use them for? Finish project photos tomorrow.
