August cozy gift reveal: a pure beeswax taper 🐝🕯️

I wanted to include something that felt simple, useful and very Worn Pages — the kind of candle you’d light beside a book, tuck into an old brass holder and let burn while the kettle boils.

These little tapers are made from pure beeswax and have that lovely naturally warm, honeyed colour. Beeswax burns a little differently to soy too — slower, with a smaller flame, and with that old-fashioned candlelight feel I love.

A few little tips:
• trim the wick to around 5mm before lighting
• always pop it into a snug-fitting candle holder
• burn away from drafts so it burns nice and evenly
• if it develops a little drip, that’s all part of the charm
• light it for dinner, while reading, during a bath, or just because 😌

I loved the idea of including something this month that felt a little nostalgic and bookish — almost like it belonged on a desk in an old library.

Tomorrow at 9:30a: August Candle Club Live Unboxing 📦🕯️

This will be my 24th unboxing live. It’s a little goal I’ve held myself to every month — and if I’m honest, there are definitely times I don’t feel like showing up 😂 but I’m always so glad I did.

It’s become fun way to slow down for a minute, open the box together and talk through all the little details.

We’ll chat through the scent of the season, the cozy gift, the story behind Worn Pages + our new monthly Field Guide.

If you have your box already, bring it along and open it with me! If not, come have a nosey and bring any questions you’ve got.

One Candle Club box usually starts months before it lands on your doorstep. 📦

I start with the season, then the feeling I want the month to have. From there it’s scent testing, colour palettes, labels, local collaborations, Field Guides, recipes, samples, burn tests… and a lot of changing my mind.

By the time we actually start pouring the candles, I’ve usually been living inside the idea for weeks.

That’s probably my favourite part of Candle Club — each month gets its own cozy, curated collection.
