It’s been a while since I’ve posted on here, but I’ve had a couple of projects to share 🤍

With our eldest turning five, I felt inspired to create something special. A last-minute idea that turned into 19 handmade party hats for the kids and honestly, I wouldn’t change a thing.

A few late nights (and some help from Mum for the detailing ✨), and we got there.

I’m so obsessed with how they turned out and love how they looked on the day.

I was making my Pepi a birthday crown for her birthday this month then her sister and cousin also wanted one once they saw the finished product 🥰 how could I not 🧵

Kia ora I’m Sonya 👋🏼
I’ve had alot of interest of this page so I thought I would jump on to introduce myself and my Whanau.

I’m a stay at home mama looking after my two beautiful daughters.. my oldest is 2 and my baby is turning 1 in July ✨

I made this page to Share my passion of crafts and soft textiles with everyone. Sewing has always been a passion of mine. My parents brought me a sewing machine for my 15th birthday and it just took off from there.. I also enjoy doing DIY projects with my dad who is a builder and normally I ring him up and say “hey Dad I’ve seen something we should make” haha 😍

Now being a mama I have reignited my craft and started making pepi playmats and also enjoy making myself and my daughters clothes 👗..

It keeps me busy and my daughters have started taking a interest in it too which I love 💕 I’m all about generational learning and passing on skills to our babies 👯‍♀️

I especially loved making these ones for a beautiful local mama with such a big heart, getting gifts organised for children who aren’t fortunate to receive gifts. But now thanks to her they are.

Been an up and down week for my sewing. Nga mihi for everyone’s patience. My Two sick pēpi’s limit how much I can do and when I can sew.

I say “good night” to my daughter and my partner tells her I have to go to work now 😂 (true story tho) legit my only window some days.

This was a beautiful Te Reo set paired with the popular sage green linen 💕 looked soo gorgeous.
