A Little Logo Story
Cooper & Co. Candles grew from a sense of joy and peace found while creating candles in my kitchen.
Cooper is my married name — my family's name — one that I am proud of and that means a lot to me.
Co. represents something equally important. I was never going to make this dream a reality solo. Behind every small business is a village of people who cheer you on, lend a hand, and believe in you.
When I first had the idea for a logo, I sent my gorgeous niece in Australia a sketch scribbled on a scrappy piece of paper and asked, “What can you do with this?” Lo and behold, the Cooper & Co. Candles logo was born into what it is today.
My beautiful Mumma is my right-hand woman at markets and events. While the remuneration may not be huge, the time we spend together certainly is — or so she tells me!
Miss 15 is my tech-savvy superstar. She's my photographer, candle preparer, party packer, stocktake taker, and one of my biggest cheerleaders.
My hubby is my everything. He's the car packer and unpacker, driver, gazebo setup king, delivery man, ideas man, and a chief candle sniffer. He is the first to tell me if a candle is too waxy!
My dad is my go-to creator and maker, helping bring my ideas to life through props, displays, and market stand creations.
One of my best friends generously gives up her time to help at events and, thankfully, is also one of my biggest customers.
And then there are my amazing customers. Over the past 18 months, I've learned so much. I'm still learning to continually improve my candles.
To every person who has purchased from me, shared a post, recommended my business, or stopped by for a chat at a market — thank you. Your support means more than you'll ever know.
What I'm trying to say is this:
We all need a "Co." in our lives.
A dream may begin with one person's vision, but it's the encouragement, support, and generosity of others that help turn that dream into reality. Without those people, the journey would be a much lonelier one.
