I want the most stems from my small space so I pinch my flowers! I have a post on which flowers I do/don't do this with, today I show you how I pinch my snapdragons 🌸🌱
Why I pinch:
- I prefer a bushier plant with more stems and the slightly shorter stems are still perfect for what I need them for (bouquets)
- these slightly shorter later stems still work for me selling flowers locally, wholesale. If you are growing more commercially, I can imagine that huge central stem is more valuable.
✨️ Lingo explained: True Leaves. When a plant germinates, the first leaves you see are the seed leaves (cotyledons). The leaves that emerge after this are the true leaves. If you would like a video explaining this let me know!
