🍃🧚♀️🙌
From sitting in class at high school up until this very moment I have always been the plant girl! 🌿 None of my friends were interested in Horticulture, but I still took the class. I took in every ounce of information I could and got top of my class every year! What a plant nerd huh! 🤓I was one of the lucky ones that always knew what I wanted to do when I left school. Work outdoors with plants of course! 😃So that's what I did. I left town to get my certificate in Horticulture and started volunteering at a Garden Centre. They decided to give me part time work, that led to full time. I worked my way up, right up until I managed a whole garden centre myself!👩💼 I've also had gardening jobs that have grown my hands on skill set to compliment my plant knowledge. I have worked on gardens that are over 30 years old doing advanced topiary work and hedges kilometers long! 🌲I've pruned 100s of roses in council gardens, planted thousands of seedlings and shrubs, and done my fair share of planting native trees to restore the land. I also had my own area of a retirement village, where I could maintain beautiful cottage gardens as if they were my own. Now that was fun! 🌸Now I'm back in Te Puke where it all started and ready to spruce up the place one garden at a time. 👩🌾
