People often ask me why I started DreamHaven Kreations, and honestly, it came from my own frustrations as a crafter.
When I first started making cups, I struggled to find a New Zealand supplier that offered blank snowglobe tumblers, sublimation tumblers, lids, straws and accessories at affordable prices without having to wait weeks for overseas shipping.
So instead of continuing to search, I decided to create what I wished existed.
Today, DreamHaven Kreations supplies a range of wholesale blanks and crafting supplies to crafters and small businesses throughout New Zealand.
One thing that is really important to me is quality. Before I place bulk orders, I personally test the tumblers to check for leaks, damage and overall quality. If I wouldn't use it myself, I won't sell it.
I absolutely love seeing a blank tumbler transformed into something creative and unique. Whether you're making cups as a hobby or building a business of your own, there is something special about turning a blank canvas into a finished product.

There’s something about receiving a stock order that instantly makes you start planning the next one before you’ve even unpacked the first box

And then comes the conversation with the husband…
“So technically… this is for the business”

One thing I will always be grateful for throughout this business journey is having a husband who supports me and my ideas every step of the way

He’s the one who listens to my endless business talks, helps me work out what’s a good idea, what’s realistic, what’s working and what’s not, and supports all the random crafting ideas I come up with along the way

I know a lot of fellow crafters and small business owners will understand these conversations because running a business isn’t just about buying pretty supplies — it’s constantly trying to decide what is actually needed for the business and what can wait

Although… somehow we usually convince ourselves we need it eventually anyway

Last week’s live was all about stepping outside the box and trying something completely new — and honestly, I am so impressed with how these tumblers turned out

It was my very first time sublimating these particular styles of tumblers, so I thought it would be the perfect opportunity to test them out live and get everyone’s thoughts on whether this is something you would like to see added into DreamHaven Kreations

And the response was definitely a YES

One thing I really enjoy about crafting is being able to show different cup styles and creative possibilities because having something unique can really help your business stand out

So safe to say, these new tumbler styles will most likely be making their way into DreamHaven Kreations very soon

As always, it was such a fun night crafting together, chatting, laughing and sharing ideas live with everyone. Thank you to everyone who joined in and supported the live

Last night I decided to try something completely new… sublimating a GLASS phone case ✨
Now let me tell you… I had absolutely no idea that with glass phone cases you DON’T mirror the print!!
So there I was, confidently sublimating away, only to realise afterwards that both phone cases are now backwards 😂
Good thing I only had two blanks and decided to test both of them first hahaha
But honestly… despite my little crafting fail, the glass phone cases actually turned out AMAZING and I’m genuinely impressed with how vibrant and glossy they look
This is what crafting is all about though — trial, error, learning, laughing at yourself and trying again 😂✨
Safe to say I definitely won’t forget the “don’t mirror” lesson again!

So today I posted a video joking that apparently you need to dance on TikTok to get customers for your small business… and well, my community took that as a challenge and wanted to see the dance
So I thought… alright then, let’s do it 😂
Picked a random song, attempted the dance and let me tell you right now… I am SO uncoordinated it’s not even funny. That little 15 second video took me nearly an hour and honestly felt like a full workout
But you know what? It was actually fun
And I think that’s the point I want to make — stop being scared to try new things or worrying what people think. Most people are too busy worrying about themselves anyway
I’ve realised these last couple of videos that I actually enjoy showing up more, being a little bit more personal, doing funny videos, serious ones, business ones and just being me again
So this is your warning… there’ll probably be more random videos coming 😂
Now I challenge one of YOU to do the same dance and continue the streak

A little update from me and DreamHaven Kreations 🤍
There’s definitely a lot happening behind the scenes at the moment. We’re still DreamHaven Kreations, still the same business and same me behind it all… but we are slowly refreshing the branding with new colours, fonts and a new look that feels more aligned with where the business is heading now ✨
I’ve also made the decision to slowly phase out some products including certain UVDTF wraps, heat transfers, A5 wraps, kiss-cut wraps and character/designer related products. By the end of the month, I’m hoping to have everything processed through so we can start fresh heading into June
And yes… there WILL be a big live sale the first week of June on Wednesday at 8PM where I’ll be destashing a lot of these items@
Honestly, I’ve really missed doing craft nights and jumping on live with everyone. May has just been such a busy month with family life, events, sports and everything in between, but I’m excited to get back into it again soon 💖
I also just wanted to say this to other small businesses out there… keep doing YOU. Stay in your lane, focus on your goals, and don’t get caught up in the noise or drama around you. At the end of the day, nobody else is paying your bills or building your dreams except you
I’m the type of person where if something has nothing to do with me, then it has nothing to do with me. I’ll still support people, talk to people and buy from businesses because kindness and respect cost nothing 🤍
This economy has been tough on so many businesses, but we just keep going, keep creating and keep growing
And for me… this year is all about growth & connecting xx

Running a small business from home isn’t just about making products and packing orders 🤍

It’s also being the mum behind the scenes making sure everyone is fed, homework is done, sports gear is ready, washing is folded, lunches are packed, bills are paid and the house somehow keeps functioning while trying to grow a business at the same time 😅

Some days are stressful, some days are exhausting, and some days I feel like there aren’t enough hours in the day… but I truly love what I do with DreamHaven Kreations

Today I decided to slow down a little bit, put the never-ending to-do list aside, and spend some time crafting and making a snowglobe cup because honestly, crafting is one of the things that helps me reset my mind ✨

To all the mums and small business owners out there juggling life and business at the same time… I see you 🤍
