I have just completed these beautiful drawers, not having young children myself, I wasn’t familiar with the Grotime brand and I certainly wasn’t aware of the safety features. After many years of working on countless sets of drawers, it wonderful to be surprised. It’s ready for its new home and its hidden pulley system ( to ensure you can’t open multiple drawers and use it like a ladder) and its fixings in the back so it can be secured to a wall (so it won’t topple in the biggest shake) remain fully intact.

These very ornate drawers were beautiful but their colours had faded and yellowed. Dixie Belle Paint Company products came to the rescue, I started with base coats of the wonderful Bonding Boss in white, then applied Silk Glacier all over the piece. Then came the detailing in Silk all in one mineral paint in Sequoia, salt water, Everglades, Mojave, desert rose and umber. The final step was to paint to top in Silk all in one mineral paint in Umber.

My absolute favourite decoupage rice paper from Dixie Belle Paint Company Belles and Whistles moody mums wraps this simple cabinet in red splendour, accented by Silk all in one mineral paint in Anchor. The decoupage paper is adhered and sealed in Clear coat satin.
