It’s a boy! 🥰 And we are sooooo excited to meet him!

My eldest asked me last night why I had done the heart blue for a boy… “because boys can like pink too mum” 🥹

And while he’s totally right and I’m very proud that he’s growing up with the belief that colours are just colours, I also knew that putting a pink heart on here but telling you it was a boy would likely cause confusion 😅 … so we are sticking with the societal norm on this one 😮‍💨

So many thoughts go through my mind while planning, creating & finalising your designs.

The letters in particular is one that’s taken a long time to develop and is still something I have to figure out with every new combination! I have to work out how to join the letters so the wire is continuous but it’s important to me that the letters look recognisable as if they were stand alone. I’m not the biggest fan of traditional cursive text as I find so many of the letters don’t look like their “true” form. Perhaps that’s just me 😅🤷‍♀️

And then there’s always the usual mind wondering thoughts of “what’s for dinner”, “did I remember to do that thing” etc…because mum life never truly stops 😂

Pretty in purple 💜

I love every step of this process, the wire bending, knitting the cord, threading it on and sewing the ends, making sure every step is done with care and attention.

And knowing they put a smile on a little person’s face seeing their own name on the wall is the cherry on top 💓
