Thanks to everyone who came by the Well Made Craft Festival on Saturday! I met so many lovely people, had a great visit from my family, and a few paintings found their new homes 😊

Bee-hold the Life Flight Bee in the City team!

We're the small but mighty team behind Bee in the City. What started as a Life Flight fundraising project and a way to give back to Wellington has become something "un-bee-lievable".

We've been blown away by the response from the community. A huge thank you to our sponsors, supporters, artists, schools, volunteers, and everyone who has helped bring the trail to life. We simply couldn't have done it without you!

How exciting to see this on TV yesterday!!
The Life Flight NZ team has just done such an incredible job on this project, and I can't wait to see how much we raise for their cause 💚

The trail is on till 8th November, so plenty of time to get out and explore 😊

Train into town and a quick walk along the waterfront to see my bee this morning! It looks so great installed in its new home for the next two months 🥰
I got to see a bunch of other bees along the way too, collecting them on the app is so fun! You can grab the app on the Play Store now, search "bee in the city" 🐝

🐝 Surprise!!! 🐝

I am feeling very lucky to have been selected as a participating artist in the upcoming Bee in the City sculpture trail!!

Bee in the City is a spectacular public art event that weaves its way across the Wellington C*D in spring 2026.

30 Bee sculptures, each one individually designed by an artist and sponsored by a business, form a free, fun, family-friendly trail of discovery for local people to explore and enjoy.

Simultaneously, a learner program for schools and community groups will feature approximately 20 medium bees, intertwined along the trail, designed by young budding artists.

At the end of the event, the sculptures are auctioned to raise vital funds for Life Flight Trust (Registered Charity No ).

The event has been created by Wild in Art together with Life Flight Trust, and Headline Partner, Mills Albert Ltd. Visit beeinthecity.org.nz

𝗛𝗲𝘆 𝗳𝗿𝗶𝗲𝗻𝗱𝘀!! 𝗜 𝗻𝗲𝗲𝗱 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗵𝗲𝗹𝗽!

I have been lucky enough to be selected to participate in a big public art project this year (top secret for now 😉), and I'm looking for some reference images to paint from.

I'm after your best, most dramatic, beautiful landscape photos of 𝙒𝙚𝙡𝙡𝙞𝙣𝙜𝙩𝙤𝙣! It can be the city, the suburbs, beaches, forests, rural, just any spots in the Wellington region. Sunrise, sunset, nighttime, daytime, sun, rain, whatever!
