today is World Food Day. 🌾🌿

enough food is produced to feed every person on the planet, and yet, one-third of it is lost or wasted every year.

while mindful habits in our own kitchens matter, governments and large institutions need to do better by fixing systemic supply chain gaps, strengthening food rescue infrastructure, and holding commercial waste accountable.

buy only what you need. store it well. use it up. and demand systemic change so the burden doesn't rest solely on households.

the answer isn't just recycling — it's buying less, choosing durable, and making things last longer. the same logic applies to everything we carry at nil.

nil-i-fy. verb. 🌿

anna sat down with wellington access radio 106.1 fm to talk about nil. — where the name came from, what it really stands for, and how nilify became a word we actually made up.

nil harm. nil waste. nil living. nilify.

it all started with munch — our original brand — and four years of thinking carefully about what we actually wanted to say. nil was the answer.
