New one off the bench - Solid Rimu Prep Board 👌

This is our new Prep Board – Solid Rimu, made from reclaimed NZ native Rimu salvaged from the old Palmerston North Teachers’ College library demolition.

What makes these a bit special is that each board is cut from one solid piece of Rimu - no laminations, no glue joins, just beautiful clear timber with plenty of natural character.

At 30 × 20 × 4 cm they’re reversible and a really handy size for everyday prep, serving, or just leaving out on the bench.

Finished with oil and wax conditioner, beveled edges, and engraving.

Make your board uniquely yours with custom laser engraving 🔥

This Hillcrest Angus logo was uploaded with a recent order for one of our Blackwood Brisket Boards.

The original artwork contained plenty of fine detail, so we converted it into a clean, laser-ready design while retaining the character of the original logo — then engraved it directly into the board.

Custom laser engraving is available on our boards. Simply upload your logo or image when ordering through our website, and we’ll take care of preparing it for engraving.

Perfect for businesses, gifts, BBQ teams, or simply adding a personal touch to your board.

Our most popular end-grain boards are now available in Oak! 🌳

This one-off Classic Plus End-Grain Oak board showcases grain patterns that simply can’t be replicated - every block telling the story of decades of natural growth. The sweeping rings, rich contrast, and deep character make this piece completely unique.

You could use it as a cutting board…but we’d understand if you just stared at it for a while first 👀

This large one-off Tasmanian Blackwood piece came together with a grain pattern that looks almost too perfect to be real. Deep reds, flowing lines, and a center seam that steals the show.

🎄 Merry Christmas! 🎄

I just want to take a moment to say a huge thank you to all of my customers for the incredible support over the past year.

This year, sales have grown by 150%, and it honestly blows me away knowing there are dozens of my boards sitting under Christmas trees, waiting to surprise their new owners! 🎁

I’ve been pretty much cleaned out of stock, but after a well-deserved short break I’ll be straight back into the workshop replenishing and getting boards ready for the new year.

Wishing you and your families a very Merry Christmas and a great New Year!

Thank you for being part of the journey,
Ty & family 🎅🪵✨
