2nd June 2026 - We installed our branding today, and I wanted to share the story behind this piece.

Honouring our parents is one of the most important things any child can do. Our business relies heavily on people, and good people are often a reflection of the love, discipline, values, and guidance they received from their parents, elders, and guardians.

This billboard captures that love and embrace , the role our parents and elders play in shaping good behaviour, character, and faith.

Sometimes our early development is disrupted by family problems, pain, or broken relationships. But through faith, we learn that building bridges, choosing forgiveness, and releasing pain can bring peace of mind and personal growth.

A man once said, “Your currency to blame others, including your parents, will eventually run out as you mature. Your life is in your hands, and you alone can influence the outcome.”

Today, we also remember all our parents and loved ones who have passed on. We pray for comfort and peace for every family carrying that loss.

Today, 1st June 2026, we join our Pacific brothers and sisters in celebrating the 64th Independence Day of Samoa.

A special thank you to Melanie and her colleagues from the Internal Audit Team at BSP for their thoughtful initiative in hosting a small kaikai for their Samoan Manager, Maryanne, to mark this important occasion.

When you are far away from family and friends, it is the small gestures that mean the most. Celebrations like these remind us that no matter where we are across the Pacific, we remain connected through our shared culture, friendship, and community spirit.

For this special occasion, Abus Na Kumu was proud to provide:

• 1 Tray Premium Beef Roast Slices
• 1 Tray Buttered Chicken with Vegetables
• 1 Tray Lamb Stew with Vegetables

Congratulations, Jonah Kautu Academy for winning the Community Sports Initiative of the Year Award.

Jonah Kautu Academy had a transformational year in 2025, continuing its strong impact on grassroots rugby development across Papua New Guinea. The academy delivered 30 weeks of structured rugby clinics and festivals in NCD, giving children consistent opportunities to learn, compete, and grow through sport.
