“IT IS FINISHED”
Those weren’t words of defeat.
They were the anthem of victory.
The debt paid.
The shame undone.
The condemnation silenced.

I don’t have to earn what He already accomplished.
I just have to receive it by grace through faith in Christ.

It’s easy to look back at the crowd and wonder, “How could they?”

But then I look at my own life - how easily I stay silent about my faith to avoid discomfort, how I scroll past conviction, how I choose convenience over the cross.

The crowd didn’t crucify Jesus alone.
I was there, too, every time I choose my comfort over His call.

It wasn’t nails that held Him there - it was love.

The cross wasn’t about what was being taken from Him, but what He was giving for us.

He wasn’t being defeated.
He was defeating death.

Every lash, every drop of blood, was a step toward our freedom.

Silence feels like weakness - especially when we’re misunderstood.

But Jesus stood before Pilate, falsely accused, and said nothing.
He trusted the Father more than He feared injustice.

What if strength isn’t always in the loud defense,
but in the quiet confidence of knowing God sees the truth?

Peter swore he’d never deny Jesus - until pressure came.

And we’ve done the same.

We’ve smiled instead of speaking the truth.
Chosen silence instead of standing in love.

Denial doesn’t always sound like “I don’t know Him.”

Sometimes, it’s just the silence of someone too afraid to say, “I am a follower of Christ.”

We think betrayal is loud and obvious… but sometimes it’s subtle, wrapped in affection.
Judas kissed Jesus.

And I’ve said I love Jesus, while chasing things that pull me away from Him.
Every time I choose sin,
- that thing what He died to free me from,
I feel the weight of that kiss.

And yet, He still calls me “friend”.

In Gethsemane, Jesus asked, “Could you not watch with me one hour?” And the disciples slept.

I used to shake my head at them.
Until I noticed how often I choose distraction over prayer, how I hit snooze when God stirs something in me.

The garden isn’t just history - it’s a mirror.

Am I awake to His voice, or sleeping through divine moments?

The cross loomed just hours away. Darkness was coming.
But even there, at that table, Jesus was already winning.
Not with swords, but with surrender.
Not with violence, but with love.

The victory began the moment He offered Himself - first in bread, then on the cross.

“Do this in remembrance of Me.”

It’s not just about looking back - it’s about living in response.
The bread and the cup are reminders that love isn’t cheap. It bleeds. It gives. It saves.

Communion isn’t a ritual - it’s a reminder that we’ve been ransomed.

Jesus washed Judas’ feet. Fed him. Loved him. Even knowing the betrayal was coming.

That kind of mercy shocked me.

Because truthfully, I’ve failed Him too.
And yet - He still offers me a seat. Still breaks bread with me. Still calls me beloved.

16/04/2025

Jesus knew Judas would betray Him. And He still knelt, still served, still washed his feet.
That kind of love breaks me. It’s not about who deserves it - it’s about obedience, humility, grace.
If I’m truly following Jesus, then love means bending low, even for those who might wound me.
