ART+TRACK: LISTEN TO MY ART

THE WORLD OF WALOU

What happens when a song becomes a memory, and a memory becomes a world?

For this series, I brought four OPM songs into The World of Walou, a place I created where my imagination, memories, and emotions can take shape.

Each painting comes from something personal. There are moments of missing someone, searching for what was lost, feeling unseen, holding on to hope, and finding freedom with someone who makes the journey a little lighter.

I have always loved looking at clouds and imagining them becoming something familiar. That childhood fascination eventually became part of Walou’s world, where clouds can become memories, companions, and little reminders of the people and things we hold close.

These paintings are my way of saying that sometimes, music can express feelings that we cannot quite put into words. I simply gave those feelings a place to exist through Walou.

The songs gave me the feeling.
Walou gave it a place to live.

🎧 LISTEN TO THE ART
There is a Spotify QR code for each artwork.

Scan the QR, listen to the song, and experience the story behind the painting.

I hope that somewhere in these four little stories, you find a feeling that is familiar to you too.

☁️ Welcome to The World of Walou.

"Borrowed Smile"

Walou x Mimikyu Crossover
24x24 Inches
Acrylic on gallery-wrapped canvas | 2026

Status: SOLD (Evolution in the Streetz: Pokémon Reimagined)

Borrowed Smile explores the masks we wear to feel accepted. Inspired by Mimikyu's quiet longing to belong, Walou reminds us that behind every borrowed smile is someone hoping to be seen for who they truly are.

21/07/2026

From a blank canvas… to layers of paint, raw strokes, and a story that came straight from the heart. 🤍💜💛

This is the story behind Borrowed Smile, my Walou × Mimikyu crossover created for Evolution in the Streetz: Pokémon Reimagined.

I chose Mimikyu because its story reminded me so much of the human desire to belong and be loved.

While painting, I thought about how we sometimes wear our own masks. We smile when we're hurting. We say we're okay when we're not. We hide parts of ourselves because we're afraid we won't be accepted.

But I believe that somewhere out there, someone will see beyond the mask.

Someone will see the real you.

And maybe that's what Borrowed Smile is about.

On the first day of the exhibition, I placed the SOLD mark on my art card. A moment I'll always be grateful for. 🥹🤍

Thank you for allowing this piece to become part of someone's story.

The show is still ongoing until the first week of August at .

If you're in the area, come visit and experience Evolution in the Streetz: Pokémon Reimagined. 🎨✨

⚠️ NEW OPENING DATE: JULY 18 ⚠️

Due to the inclement weather and for everyone's safety, the opening of Evolution in the Streetz: Pokémon Reimagined has been rescheduled to July 18.

I'm grateful to be one of the featured artists in this incredible group exhibition and excited to finally unveil my latest painting, Borrowed Smile, my take on Walou × Mimikyu, inspired by the masks we wear, quiet resilience, and the emotions we choose to keep hidden.

Thank you for your understanding and continued support. I hope you'll join us at Gallery 119 as we celebrate art, street culture, and our shared love for Pokémon.
