However, Hamburglar was designed from the start to be an antagonist, Hamburglar was far from the most cunning and diabolical fiend out there, but he was still a criminal and wore a distinctive costume, complete with black hat and mask. As time progressed, however, Hamburglar began to fade away, along with the rest of McDonaldland, and in his latter years, Hamburglar was not as antagonistic, but still liked playing tricks on his friends and stealing burgers.

Piranha Plant and also known as Piranha Flower or simply Piranha, is a recurring enemy in the Mario franchise. It is a Venus fly trap-like enemy, almost always portrayed as a leafy green stalk topped with a white-spotted red head, bisected by a white lip mouth with sharp teeth. Instead of eating flies, he eats Mario and Luigi.

Goombas are depicted as brown mushroom-like creatures with two dark brown feet and no visible arms or legs. Goombas have bushy, black eyebrows and a pair of fangs sprouting from their lower jaw, although are never shown to use them. Goombas take inspiration from the real-world shiitake, a type of mushroom.
