My 2026!

This is the iyo okumi “A Story About Me” that I got from .ph at plannercon. I thought the name was fitting for a journal - what I wanted to use the weeks for.

My first trifold Travelers Notebook Standard size ✨

📸 1 & 2 = made with veggie leather. It has a very smooth feel. It is very soft so be careful with scratches. I have it in the colour Merlot and black strings (you can customise yours!).
📸 3 = The white stone charm came with it as a freebie and I added a shell charm.
📸 4 = I added more charms to the spine coz why not? Haha! I chose gold accents and hints of red.
📸 5 & 6 = Inside the trifold are 2 card slots and a hidden secretarial pocket. You can use this as a wallet if you want. Stickers are for demonstrating pockets. I won’t be keeping stickers in them 😅
📸 7 = La Dolce Vita clip on my TN folder insert. I keep pens and tools in the bag part. So convenient!
📸 8 = My new TN standard folder! I have many classes now and need to keep documents with me. The folders are for privacy really.
📸 9 = My TN notebook! I regret not getting the Love & Trip when I had the chance. Good thing I got my hands on the insert. This is for notes and brain dump.

📸 11 = My main planner, the Kinbor undated timed weekly.

I got this at plannercon 2025 Notes to November. That event was PACKED. I was only able to stay for an hour. There were several options for local TN. Cada Dia was the only one there who had a deep red-purple (like wine, no orange) in a TN standard size. Plus a trifold too! And a free charm!!! I had almost given up but caught a glimpse of the Merlot on display. I had to battle to get to the front but I was ready with my online payment see 😜 (this costs less than a TN and it will come with 2 free notebooks). I’m grateful that I got my planner in 10 mins coz the crowd was getting to me. All in all I highly recommend Cada Dia. If you guys are looking to try a trifold.

Let’s talk about my 2026 functional planners! (Not my journal ecosystem — this is Techo Kaigi)

📸 1 - my golden trio… I’m not just in my travelers notebook era! I’m in my pocket rings era too! Let me introduce you to my planning system for 2026…
📸 2 & 3 - travelers notebook passport size with muji inserts (green = grid, black = blank). She is paired with a muji ballpoint pen in brown (0.5). This is my FIELD NOTEBOOK. So easy to carry around, no fuss, and everything stays inside when elastic is on. This is maybe how a TN is supposed to be and I am loving it 🥰
📸 4 & 5 - TN Standard with undated vertical weekly. I picked the Kinbor out of all the choices coz she is 1) cheap, 2) durable, 3) thicker no fuss paper, and 4) the layout suits me. This is my EDC for work! I also have the love and trip blank insert and the folder from — it keeps my daily work schedule, paper/documents I need, and quick notes for work.
📸 6 & 7 - my dream pocket rings is finally here 😍 this is the budget version of the double ring pocket planner I’ve been dreaming of having for years! So happy to see it finally in shopee. The luxury version is made by Ashford (real leather) and costs an arm and a leg (with shipping, it will cost + first born). I wanted to try it out first before investing in such an expensive piece. Can’t wait to tour you as soon as shop is open (my go to local shop for inserts)!
📸 8 & 9 - BONUS: every year I have a go-to ink ✍️ while I use other inks, this ink would always be ‘loaded’ in at least one of my pens. This year it is the .official in Rouge Grenat. It’s a deep Ruby red that doesn’t lean purple. I’ve only recently started this yearly ink tradition but it is the best thing ever!

It has been a long time since I posted. A lot has happened irl. But papers and pens are my one true love. I can’t live without it! With a few more adjustments, I think I will be able to come back to sharing my thoughts here.

My Morning edition 🌞

1st 📸 my monthly pages in the … the first pages I look at in the morning. It orients my day and week. I also use these pages for future plans. I do transfer appointments and events when I setup the weekly pages. But a quick glance in the morning makes sure I don’t miss anything.

2nd 📸 my weekly pages … the second step! I spend a bit more time here. It has my big tasks of the day. With the whole month in mind, it lets me know where I’m at in my week and my projects. It is also my master schedule pages (includes smaller events and details).

3rd 📸 my dailies ( Daily insert)… I spend most my time in this one page a day book. This is both my daily schedule/tasks and notes. I’m happy to have the space. I start with a daily task list (if I haven’t filled it out the night before) and then add to the list or notes throughout the day.

Sometimes, there’s not much going on in the day. And that’s alright — don’t feel bad about empty spaces in your planners 😄

My planner and journal ecosystem ✨

1st 📸 all my ‘open’ planners and journals for this week (at least since this weekend). My TN (especially the daily insert) is the daily info dump, and it has everything! In the next photos, I will show you where the individual information goes…

2nd 📸 my TAN slim bi-week planner has most of my work stuff, including future planning. I base the first entries of my dailies on the TAN insert. Later, this is logged in my Hobonichi Weeks mega for archiving. My TN insert gets crazy with so much info that it would be hard to find anything. Meanwhile, my Hobonichi Weeks has more organised info. If I need to find info later (months or years), I’d likely go through my weeks.

3rd 📸 I setup my other (regular) Hobonichi Weeks as a social media planner to keep track of what I’ve posted lately. From my TN dailies, I’ll properly log it in the weeks.

4th 📸 my TAN A6 book, 2 days in one page… this is my daily diary and archive. It’s very creative and busy so I’m not expecting to be able to find any info at a quick glance 😅 but it’s nice to destress with a small diary entry at the end of the day.

A post with a lot of photos… What’s in my standard Travelers Notebook 🤎

1st 📸 this is my Olive TN but you wouldn’t know until you compare it with the brown and black TN covers 😅 I wish it leaned more Olive.
2nd 📸 I have three inserts in my TN setup. There may be a bit of overhang but you can arrange it so the TN inserts are all tucked in!
3rd 📸 a pampano fish (fried) I got from - I forgot the artist 😅 I thought it was so clever!
4th 📸 my TAN slim book from that I got at the recent Planner Con: Dear Summer. I got it half price coz I just got it now 😜 pro-tip: if you just wanna “try” a dated planner, do it mid-year when they would likely be on a massive discount.
5th 📸 my foldout folder from - there’s a more popular folder insert (with the pockets). I got this one coz the idea is that you can insert A4 or letter sized pages in it! Very useful!
6th 📸 the other two inserts are from TN. This one is the undated dailies. This is my fave TN insert. It has cream paper and works well with an M nib fountain pen! You just have to remember to let it dry completely 😄
7th 📸 my TN grid inserts. Functional but the paper leans white (I prefer cream paper). Sorry I can’t show my notes 😅

Hello, Monday ⏱️

I start Mondays with my combo: mega & my slim book (it fits in a cover!)

1st 📸 overview of the week. Yes, they may repeat information but I do science (where writing down info multiple times is normal). Also, this helps me assess my decisions and re-prioritise tasks/projects. That’s why I’m always in my planners! Mind that I’m in research with a job that gives me free rein on my schedule (yay but also need to keep track of my time and targets).

2nd 📸 weeks: left, major and minor tasks; right, trackers. This is my ‘target’ notebook that I fill out at the end of the day. The details and notes now are in my Travelers Notebook inserts.

3rd 📸 my Take a Note slim book 📕 this is where I found my planner peace. With my TN daily and grid inserts, they make the perfect TN setup for me. The Take a Note doesn’t have the grid page on the opposite side, so I’m able to see the week before. This works out well for my planning needs.

My two most used journals…
1st 📸 {top} my Techo hon, {bottom} A6 — my first year in both books!
2nd 📸 the hon is similar to the old but with a hard cover. You can use it on its own or try your luck if it would fit in the more relaxed covers. We didn’t get along in the past (esp since I’m a Hobonichi weeks girl). But this year is different! I’m pleasantly surprised that I’ve been using this a lot as a universal journal.
3rd 📸 the pages have a more relaxed vibe… I write random thoughts about anything. But I usually take inspiration from my day.
4th 📸 the take a note planner is complete new to me. It has been around for a while but not the same following as the Hobonichi. It doesn’t use TRP so it’s on the chunky side despite being 2 page a day. But the paper, though a little rough, takes ink better than TRP S! I rarely see ink bleeding through.
5th 📸 the TAN planner is my memory keeper. It’s a lot busier than the Hobonichi Hon. I generally just talk about my day. I use a lot of stickers in my columns and allow myself to be as creative as I want.

My messy planning desk! Featuring my TN dailies insert and my EDC passport TN 💚

1st 📸 the to-do lists in my standard TN dailies and on the go are identical. I only setup my EDC passport when I know I’d be working at uni (I work from home most times). There’s more to my passport TN that I will share later. 😄
2nd 📸 I’ve been using an A6 art print from as a pencil board but I’m thinking of cutting down an A5 art print from (my fave!) into a TN standard size as a 2nd pencil board for my notes insert (a TN grid insert)
3rd 📸 my lovely passport TN that I’ve had for a few years. This was my first TN. She didn’t get much love before coz she wouldn’t lay flat. Recently, I’ve noticed that this doesn’t bother me anymore for both my standard and passport TN!
4th 📸 if I do need them to lay flat, I use a simple hair clip with a large sticker to prop it open. I have a few acrylic clips too! I can’t justify the price of the TN brass clips 😅 but I’m sure they work better (they are hefty and sturdier).
5th 📸 for both my main standard TN and my pocket, I use the uni one pen. I have the short one but they have a long one now too. This pen has one a Japanese stationery award (I think) and it is well deserved! I love this pen 🥰 it is actually my second one!!! I’ve not finished a pen in years 😜

I hadn’t planned on being back… but I had to share my in my new string planner lineup.

In this post:
1st 📸 my passport and standard TN (Olive)… even after a decade of being a I didn’t know that finding planner peace feels the same as a eureka moment. When I started using the standard TN as my main planner, I felt a jolt of excitement. I knew from that moment that this is the ONE! I had my passport TN for a while and I’m using it as my EDC. I’ll talk about it later on. But these are my planning workhorse combo.
2nd 📸 my Dailies - undated TN insert. This is where I spend most of my time. It’s meant to be a journal but it still works well as a planner.
3rd and 4th 📸 - I’m back in my obsession. I needed a reliable and sturdy fp for everyday use. I decided on a Kaweco M nib. It is wonderful! It has the Green with envy. But I’m switching to another FWP after this runs out. I’ve also inked my best pens: Pilot Prera and Sailor Pro Gear.
5th 📸 my TN companion - an acrylic clip. I actually don’t really need it to write since my setup lays flat enough. But it’s good to have the option. And the cat’s judgy stare helps with motivation.

It's already the 1st of March!!! The first quarter is almost over and the last few months is a blur. As the last month of the quarter comes around, it's a good idea to take stock of the quarter and plan the next one 😄

This is my catch-all - it's my scheduler and tracker. This layout is designed for your planner to tell you the absolute essentials for the day – it's the layout that you see when you start your day and when you end your day. Daily tasks go into my A6 books (Hobonichi Hon is 🥰 pls try it!).

I used a new phone to take these photos making the editing a bit different (back to bright light!). Lemme figure out this phone 😅

🧧Happy Lunar Nee Year 🧧Here’s a little treat for your notes pages — Quarterly goal tracking

Photo 2 - overview of my 2-page Quarterly Goal Tracker; this is essentially a list of goals/to-do. You can do a simpler version with no calendar.
Photo 3 - let’s start start with the right page: I start with overall goals for the quarter. You can also swap this with motivational quotes or reminders, or your running projects.
Photo 4 - under the quarterly goals, I have separate spaces for each month. You can get more creative with this, like added trackers.
Photo 5 - the monthly section is extended to the left side. I forgot to take a photo of the bottom section! It is supposed to be the ‘next quarter’ section.
Photo 6 - this is a modified calendar. It is oriented on its side and you read it vertically. I find this calendar unique and it helps to have a different perspective sometimes.

I use tabs to make sure I update this page! 😁
