⭐️📝 LET ARTISTS HARVEST FREEDOM & WRITERS FIGHT FOR RIGHTS ✊🏼🌾

In support of the Free Amanda Echanis Movement, Artista ng Rebolusyong Pangkultura - ARPAK once again invites all art-lovers and literature-enjoyers to TL;DR: TRL - A Small Press and Art Fair!

Given the worsening economic crisis in our country which rooted in the lack of genuine land reform, it’s no surprise that attacks on peasant organizers such as Amanda, who has been detained for nearly five years due to trumped-up charges, have only intensified under the Marcos Jr. regime. Because of this, the challenge to raise awareness on the government’s neglect of our agricultural sector is both urgent and necessary.

Through TL;DR: TRL, ARPAK enjoins all writers, artists, and cultural workers to support Filipino farmers, agricultural workers, and fisherfolk in their fight for their rights, as well as to call for the freedom of Amanda Echanis and every political prisoner who has been detained for advocating for justice.

The event will also feature many merchants, an Open Mic, and a Poetry Roundtable Discussion of Amanda Echanis’ poems from her book “Binhi ng Paglaya,” moderated by Faye Cura of Gantala Press 📚💜
