"San Agustin Church, Intramuros"

Hello friends!

I finally finished a watercolor painting of the San Agustin Church that's situated in Intramuros. When I was planning on going to Intramuros, my parents urged me to go to this church because of its beauty. And I couldn't agree more when I finally went there. It has a suprising elegance most especially in its museum that brought us back in time to the Spanish period. It's as if we were walking the halls and staircase of Hogwarts or the monasteries of Europe. Interestingly, this church was the only structure spared from destruction during World War II.

If I'm going back to Intramuros, I'll definitely go back to this church. From the outside, it looks simplistic but when you enter, you would be surprised by its elegance and history.

I finally had the time to paint again, using Uni pin pens and watercolor this time! I didn't realize how long I didn't paint until I finished this yesternight. The last time I made a painting was last October 2022. It's good to be back!

Anyways, I made a painting of the dome of the Manila Cathedral which stands inside Intramuros. I have long been enamored of the sight of this church, especially knowing how it was painstakingly rebuilt after World War II.

When I and my friends went to the La Cathedral cafe, this architectural grandeur, lit by warm yellow lights against the dark blue twilight sky, greeted us on the way up. It was absolutely stunning to look at. It felt like we were in some place in Europe.

This painting would become the first of many. I plan to paint the places I went with family and friends. This would become an art journal as time passes, which serves not only as a form of meditative escapism but also as a memory book.

WIP

I'm not yet finished with the artworks I began painting this weekend but the sun will kiss the horizon behind the curtain of clouds in a few minutes at the time of writing this post.

I'll be finished with this by next weekend and you will find the moon rise and glow amidst the dark sea.

"Ferris Wheel by the Sea"

I get to do again the same style in the painting the sky from my last artwork. I just love how it turns out and I'm happy with the results!

This painting is based on a photograph I took of a Ferris wheel in SM Mall of Asia, Pasay City. I took the liberty of doing things differently which thus resulted to this one. Hope you like it!

Starting my Art page, which I aim to use a platform to share and sell my works, with my most recent painting.

This is my new favorite out of all I made since this serves as the sweet reminder of my time as a student of UPLB before. My future acrylic paintings will be using this style I first used here since I love how it turned out!

Here's to hoping to come back to a home away from home from time to time!
