3-Ingredient Oreo Loaf Cake 🍫✨
For the Cake:
Oreo Biscuits: 2 packs (approx. 24 biscuits)
Eggs: 2 large
Milk: \frac{1}{2} cup
Baking Powder: 1 tsp
Butter: 1 tbsp (for greasing the pan)
For the Chocolate Glaze:
Milk Chocolate Bar: 100g (with chopped nuts, or plain chocolate mixed with crushed almonds/hazelnuts)
Hot Water: A double boiler setup or a few drops to help melt smoothly if micro-waving
👩🍳 Step-by-Step Instructions
Step 1: Make the Cake Batter
Crush the Biscuits: Toss all the Oreo biscuits into a blender or food chopper. Blend them until they turn into a fine, powdery crumb.
Whisk the Eggs: In a mixing bowl, crack the 2 eggs and whisk them thoroughly until light and slightly frothy.
Combine: Add the crushed Oreo powder, milk, and baking powder to the whisked eggs. Stir everything together with a whisk until you get a smooth, uniform chocolate batter.
Step 2: Bake the Cake
Prepare the Pan: Grease a small loaf pan evenly with butter so the cake doesn't stick.
Pour & Tap: Pour the chocolate batter into the pan. Give the pan a gentle tap on the counter a couple of times to remove any trapped air bubbles.
Bake: Bake in a preheated oven at 180°C (350°F) for about 30 to 35 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
Cool: Let it cool down, then carefully flip the loaf pan to remove the cake.
Step 3: Add the Crunchy Glaze
Chop the Chocolate: Finely chop your favorite nut-filled chocolate bar into small pieces.
Melt it: Melt the chocolate using a double boiler (placing a heat-proof bowl over a pot of simmering water) or in short 15-second bursts in the microwave, stirring in between until completely smooth.
Glaze & Serve: Pour the melted glossy chocolate glaze generously over the cooled loaf cake, spreading it evenly across the top. Let the glaze set for a few minutes, slice it up, and enjoy!
Tip: If you want an extra fudgy texture, don't overbake the cake! Keep a close eye on it around the 28-minute mark.
