PROJECT - O9
CÁLA began as a feeling before it became a form.
A memory of being by the sea where warmth lingers in the air, and time seems to slow inside nature’s quiet embrace.
The strategic location of CÁLA allowed us to look into Karachi’s coastal terrain and the cave-like rock formations carved patiently by the sea. Spaces where one feels small yet protected engulfed in awe. That sensation of being sheltered, grounded, and warmed by the elements of earth became the soul of this project.
Our design language unfolded through fluid curves and sculpted surfaces. These forms wrap around the space, creating an immersive enclosure that mimics sitting within a coastal cave, where architecture doesn’t impose but holds you.
CÁLA is designed to feel warm, intimate, and elemental. A place where structure becomes an embrace, where the rhythm of the sea is translated into stillness, and where every curve tells a story of erosion, patience, and belonging, reimagined through a designer’s lens.
