Standing beside her on the right is her husband, Dr. Norbert Pinch. On the left are Amjad Ali, President of Anjuman-e-Falah-e-Aama, and the well-known social personality of Okara, Muhammad Aslam Tahir Qadri.

💝Every logo carries a story — a vision shaped by people, ideas and dedication💝

The logo of Anjuman-e-Falah-e-Aama (AFA) was originally conceptualised by Mr. Amjad Ali, current President of the organisation, and later transformed into its final visual identity by Lahore-based creative professional Mr. Anees Yaqub.

The Thatta Kedona logo traces its roots back to the inspiring vision of German creative pioneer Dr. Senta Siller, who laid the foundation of this handicrafts initiative decades ago. Over time, the logo was further refined and given its present form by Mr. Ghulam Mustafa Mughaljee from Okara.

Both emblems reflect more than organisations and projects — they represent community spirit, cultural heritage, creativity, and years of collective effort connected to village Thatta Ghulamka Dhiroka.

A MEMORABLE VISIT TO OUR VILLAGE HANDICRAFTS CENTER
Mr. Amjad Ali, President of Anjuman-e-Falah-e-Aama (AFA), welcomed the President of the Chamber of Commerce & Industry Okara, Mr. Shehzad Hassan, along with Vice President Mr. Hanif Sheikh. During their visit, they appreciated the high quality and cultural beauty of Thatta Kedona's handmade ethnic dolls and other traditional handicrafts prepared by the skilled artisans of the village.

A particularly encouraging moment was Mr. Shehzad Hassan’s promise to support the installation of a large glass showcase at the entrance of Gymkhana Club Okara. The showcase will display the rich variety of our handicrafts, especially the ethnic dolls representing the diverse regions and cultures of Pakistan.

We hope to establish this showcase soon and introduce even more people to the beauty of Pakistan’s traditional craftsmanship and the creative talent of rural artisans.

💝A Memorable Homecoming for the “Mother of Dolls”💝

One of the most emotional moments of Dr. Senta Siller’s recent visit to Pakistan was her visit to the Senta Siller Design Center (SSDC) and the newly established Thatta Kedona Showroom in the village of Thatta Ghulamka Dhiroka.

At 90 years of age, Dr. Siller was deeply moved to see the dream she had planted decades ago flourishing with new energy and vision. She admired the beautifully designed showroom, where dolls, handicrafts and colourful creations were elegantly displayed section-wise behind glass and on modern glass racks — reflecting both artistic excellence and the dedication of the village women.

The poster also captures the presence of distinguished guests, friends, supporters and community members who became part of this unforgettable day and celebrated the inspiring journey of Thatta Kedona together with Dr. Siller.

With visible joy and satisfaction, Dr. Siller expressed her happiness that the mission she started for the empowerment of rural women is not only alive, but reaching new heights with every passing day.

💝A surprise visit by our MNA Mr. Nadeem Abbas Rabera💝
Member of National Assembly (MNA) from Okara, Mr. Nadeem Abbas Rabera, paid a surprise visit today to the village of Thatta Ghulamka Dhiroka to see the handicrafts project Thatta Kedona. During his visit, he toured different sections of the handicrafts center and was briefed about various problems faced both by the project and the village community.

Mr. Rabera highly praised the quality of the handicrafts, especially the beautiful ethnic dolls prepared by the rural women. He appreciated the dedication and creativity of the artisans and assured his support in addressing important local issues.

Among the matters discussed were the construction of a tough tile-paved street leading to the handicrafts center, a less than one-kilometer soling road from More Shaikhu to the village, and the transformation of the old pond area into an entertainment and recreation park for women and children.

The visit brought great encouragement to the women associated with Thatta Kedona and raised hopes for positive developments in the village.
