Years ago, while diving into introspection and spirituality, working to resolve all kinds of personal issues, I stumbled upon this wonderful quote by Jung:
"Bis du s'Unbewusste bewusst machsch, wird’s dis Läbe lenke und du wirsch däm dänn Schicksal säge."
It is written in a Swiss-German dialect and translates as:
"Until you make the unconscious conscious, it will direct your life and you will call it fate."
I knew I had to save it.
I began thinking of the simplest way to translate this sentiment into my own creative language: using natural threads and textiles.
From top to bottom, the work represents the unconscious, feeling unknown and entangled, moving toward the realization of Jung's words, finally completing this complex journey with a clearer, simpler understanding.
There is only one line, ours, and that is the long road.
