Rántott padlizsán, fried eggplant! 🍆

Peel and slice thin one large eggplant
Salt to your your liking with hands rub on both sides of each slice
Let sit for 40 minutes until the slices sweat.
Wipe off some of the salt and dunk into flour , coating both sides of eggplant 🍆
Break 3 eggs into a bowl whisk and add pepper to taste and a sprinkle with paprika powder. Dunk floured eggplant slices into the egg bath on both sides and slide into a hot skillet of oil about 1/2 cup and fry until golden brown on each side. There, now you have the most delicious treat, for me it’s a delicious childhood memory from my kitchen to yours, Thyme to cook with Marika

Early morning in my garden!

Hi, here is little bit about me, gardening is my passion since I was in my early twenties. I’ve been busy working most of my adult life outside the home  working with special needs kids for the last twenty years or so. I’ve been retired for more than five years of that and I decided to get on social media starting to talk about my hobbies, gardening, cooking Hungarian food I grew up with and relearning my mother language, Hungarian is my first language and English is my learned language since I was a young girl here in America. With all that said, I am really happy with all the feedback I’ve gotten from all the people here on Facebook! Thanks, and now let’s cook and speak a little Hungarian everyday! Szia, Marika
