From the Original Oversized Plate Mounts to Custom MP118 Plates

This beautiful Ferrari 512 BB was already a stunning model, but the original oversized plate mounts left it looking incomplete.

The owner reached out to me to create custom MP118 plates for the model. I first created a digital simulation on his original photo, then produced the plates — and this is the final result.

Molte volte, alcune belle e costose riproduzioni in scala di auto dei Carabinieri o dell'Esercito Italiano vengono fornite con targhe non del tutto corrette: dimensioni, caratteri o aspetto generale possono differire da quelli reali.

In altri casi, invece, sono gli stessi collezionisti a voler personalizzare i propri modelli con una targa specifica, ispirata a quella di un'auto reale o semplicemente con la propria numerazione preferita.

È questo il caso dei modelli nelle foto. Su richiesta del loro proprietario, ho creato nuove targhe MP118, riproducendo fedelmente dimensioni, formato e aspetto delle targhe reali.

Un piccolo dettaglio, ma importante per rendere il modello il più fedele possibile all'auto reale.

Le targhe possono essere realizzate in scala 1:18, 1:24 e anche in altre scale, come 1:8 e 1:9.
