Meet Shepherd, our Series 1 Land Rover, gearing up for its first big event, our wedding this May! We knew we wanted one of our family Land Rovers to be part of the day, and restoring Shepherd has been a labor of love for Laurens and his dad. Although it’ll eventually be taken apart again and painted green, the goal right now is simple, see this classic driving for the first time at such a special moment.
A lot of work has already gone into bringing Shepherd back to life. The body panels have been meticulously stripped of old paint layers, and while a fresh coat will come later, the focus right now is on getting it assembled, running, and making sure there’s somewhere to sit!
For the day, I’d love to add a personal touch with some floral from in Bergen op Zoom, a women with a magic touch and has been part of so many of our family’s special events, including creating Laurens’ mum’s wedding bouquet! 💐
Restoring a Landy like Shepherd is no small task, and I’ve learned that perfection is key—even for what’s essentially a fancy tractor. It takes patience and precision (not my strong suits!), but there’s nothing to worry about in the hands of . 🛠️
At the end of the day, it’s all about family. This Land Rover, like our wedding, brings everyone together—and no matter what happens (even if we need roadside recovery on the way to the chapel), it’ll be one for the books!
