🎃 A magical pumpkin patch near Göteborg is growing in the Swedish countryside… Think giant pumpkins, muddy boots, autumn wandering and just a hint of Hagrid. ✨

There’s a moment in Harry Potter when you see Hagrid’s hut sitting beside that gloriously wild pumpkin patch—huge pumpkins tucked into the grass, everything a little unruly, a little mysterious, and somehow completely magical.

That is the feeling I keep coming back to this year. 🎃✨

This morning I was out cutting flowers for a bouquet and gathering blooms for wedding flowers this weekend, but my eyes kept wandering over to the pumpkin patch.

The ducks were already there, doing their rounds like tiny feathered groundskeepers. 🦆

Last year, the slugs absolutely feasted on my pumpkins. I lost so many that I’m still personally offended by it. So this year, the ducks have a job: patrol the patch, hunt the slugs, protect the pumpkins.

And the pumpkins are very much worth protecting.

They are not dainty little decorative pumpkins.

They are American-sized pumpkins. 😂🇺🇸🎃

Big, ridiculous, glorious pumpkins—the kind that make me think of Hagrid wandering past them on his way back to his hut.

And behind the scenes, we’ve been adding a little more magic of our own.

Think giant pumpkins, muddy boots, autumn wandering, a touch of mischief…

…and a 3.35 meter tall skeleton. 💀

Wink.

I’ve dreamed of creating an American-style pumpkin patch near Göteborg that feels like stepping into another little world—not just somewhere to buy a pumpkin, but a place for autumn family activities, wandering in nature, ridiculous photos and the kind of core memories that stay with you long after autumn is gone.

So if you’re already searching for things to do in Göteborg this autumn, there might just be a little pumpkin magic waiting for you in the Swedish countryside. 🍂

Hagrid would approve, I think.

More pumpkin patch magic coming soon. 🎃🪄🍂

There’s something a little magical about the messy middle of making a bridal bouquet. ✨💐

Before a single stem is placed, every flower is laid out in a big circle around me. It may look slightly chaotic, but it’s how I work—surrounded by every color, texture, and possibility so I can choose each stem as the bouquet begins to take shape.

It’s a process I refine with every bouquet.

This one feels especially meaningful.

This growing season has been a strange one. The weather had other plans, and my dahlias are running about three weeks late. In fact, this bridal bouquet holds the very first dahlia to bloom on the farm this year. 🌸 It felt like the flowers were saying, “Okay, we’re finally ready.”

For this bouquet, I paired flowers from Wildflower Farm with beautiful blooms from another local organic flower farmer. I love collaborating with growers who share the same values—it means more local flowers, more seasonal beauty, and more flower magic.

As a florist creating wedding flowers for couples around Gothenburg and across Sweden, this is the part I love most: letting the season guide the design and allowing every bouquet to feel completely its own. And here near Göteborg, that seasonal rhythm is always part of the story.

Now, one confession… my back would very much appreciate it if I eventually graduated from arranging on the ground to using proper counters. 😂 Future me is already voting yes.

The finished bouquet? Absolutely gorgeous. I’ll share the final photos in another post.

For now, here’s a little behind-the-scenes peek into the process. Because sometimes the story behind the bouquet is just as beautiful as the bouquet itself.

What happens when a romantic bride asks for pink, coral, and yellow? Pure flower magic. 🌸

For A + P, the whole design was guided by romance, with pink as the star of the palette.

And honestly? I love romantic florals.

For the bridal bouquet, I gathered roses from my own garden alongside larkspur, cosmos, and Japanese anemones. Soft movement, delicate petals, and plenty of joyful colour—the kind of bouquet that feels as though it has just wandered in from a summer garden.

The flowing silk ribbons added the final touch—soft, romantic, and just a little bit magical. Exactly what the bouquet needed. ✨

A + P also asked for a miniature bouquet for their daughter, and making a tiny version of the bridal bouquet was such a sweet little moment. Small flowers, big flower magic.

After the wedding, they sent me this message:

“Vill bara säga ett stort tack för de otroligt fina blommorna! Jag var så nöjd! Alla tyckte det var en sådan vacker brudbukett.”

“I just wanted to say a huge thank you for the incredibly beautiful flowers! I was so happy with them. Everyone thought the bridal bouquet was so beautiful.”

Hearing that a couple loved their flowers is truly one of the greatest gifts a florist can receive. Knowing that something grown and gathered with care became part of such an important core memory makes me so incredibly happy.

Thank you, A + P, for trusting me with your flower magic. 💛

Every farm has its routines. Ours included a white-pawed barn cat appearing from nowhere whenever work began.

His name was Nisse, though we called him Snowshoes. Somewhere along the way, he became our farm manager, quality-control inspector, break-time supervisor, and very fluffy emotional-support colleague.

He had a remarkable sense of timing. Whenever I was working in the field, he would appear as if he had been monitoring the situation from a hidden office nearby. He would inspect the work, announce his presence, and then insist that productivity pause immediately for chin scratches.

During one particularly difficult stretch, when my family was recovering from COVID-19, I was outside raking leaves while my daughter rested in her stroller. Snowshoes climbed in beside her and settled down for a cuddle.

We called him Snowshoes because he was a polydactyl cat—a *skeppskatt* in Swedish—with the most wonderful collection of extra toes.

He lived to be 18 years old and passed away in May.

After losing Angus in February, it has felt like the farm has said goodbye to too many beloved paws this year. The paths are quieter. The work goes uninterrupted. There are fewer surprise inspections.

And honestly, I would happily accept a little more micromanagement.

I planted catmint for you and Angus, Snowshoes.

Keep an eye on the farm from the Rainbow Bridge, and please say hej to Angus for me. 🤍🐾

Maybe we should bring back posting just one photo.

No carousel.
No rules.
No trends.
Just something beautiful.

The first sunflowers are blooming, and this year we’re experimenting with a softer, moodier autumn palette.

The kind of autumn that smells like cinnamon, glows in the late-afternoon light, and makes you want to rewatch Gilmore Girls from the beginning.

Pumpkin path season is coming. 🌻🍂

Larkspur are in full bloom, and I couldn’t be more delighted. 💜

These tall, elegant stems bring a sense of grace and romance to every arrangement—truly a standout in the floral world. I’m excited to feature them at and in upcoming wedding designs, where they’ll shine beautifully.

Are you as captivated by larkspur as I am?
