“A room should feel composed, not designed.”
Notes from curator Elin Lindberg on bringing The Internal North into modern minimalist spaces:
• On Balance: “The density of the deep indigo ink demands restraint everywhere else. Pair it with soft plaster, raw linen, and warm wood tones.”
• On Light: “Art is dynamic. Set near floor-to-ceiling windows, the matte cream brushstrokes catch evening light while the dark forms absorb morning shadows.”
• On Framing: “Whether elevated in solid natural oak or grounded in a crisp black metal frame, the border acts as a quiet sanctuary between the art and the room.”
