Library love 💕📚 so grateful that the previous owners installed these built in bookshelves and created a library. It feels like such a magical space to have. And most people don’t believe that these are in fact Billy bookcases from IKEA that have been built in. I’m always a big fan of using IKEA as a base to build on to create a personal home.

Although I find it really inspiring and fun to share snaps of our home on here, the best part of being active in this platform is by far all the wonderful people I get to connect with 🤍 I’m so grateful to be able to talk to, get inspired by, and connect with likeminded people all over the world. To be able to connect with others that have the same interest, to be so inspired and to feel all the friendship and connection here is truly a beautiful gift! At the end of the day, the likes, the reach and all the other “number stuff” - which can sometimes be a real downer here when the IG algorithm simply doesn’t support your content - is really not important. It’s YOU, the lovely people I get to connect with that are. So THANK YOU for being here, inspiring and encouraging others to stay creative ✨

Ready to start a new week 💛 Last week was rough with a lot of waking toddlers in the night, and my husband traveling for work. Felt like I was constantly scrambling. But I always love the start of a new week, it feels like a chance to reset and set up new intentions. My focus and intentions for this week are:
✨I’m giving myself space for self care
✨I’m setting myself up for success
What this means for me is to get my planning and home in order to have the best chances to accomplish what I want to get accomplished in the coming weeks. And giving myself dedicated time to take care of myself in between.

This checkered floor from ordered via is still one of my favorite things in our house 🤍 the fact that the tiles are unglazed gives them such a soft and warm feeling, and it’s really not at all as sensitive as you might think. We simply mop it weekly (ish 😝) with a soft soap and water mix (in Swedish grönsåpa) and we have yet to have any stains or marks after over a year of “family-of-five” wear and tear ☺️

Thought I’d join on the fun with and ; for me there is only one answer: Gallery walls 🖼 ☺️ One of my all time obsessions. I’m always drawn to them in the home of others, and love creating them in my own. It’s such a personal way to display what you find beautiful. And also such a flexible way to change up your interior. I love mixing posters from big poster shops like with vintage art and DIY pieces. A pretty accurate depiction of my way of decorating as well I guess, a healthy mix of vintage, DIY and new pieces ✨

So ready to welcome fall 🍁 Fall has always been my favorite time of year. Love the feeling of falling back into routines and calmness after the intense (but also really fun) summer time. One thing I have learned over the years is that we need the contrasts in order to truly appreciate what we have. And it’s not possible to appreciate one thing without also having the presence of its opposite. The feeling of coming back to routines, getting dressed in sweater and boots, having a cold breeze come in through your bedroom window in the morning, can only truly be appreciated because of the freedom and decadent life during summer, filled with warm evenings and summer dresses. Life doesn’t need to (and truly shouldn’t) only be about perfection, getting what we want, and chasing the next “thing”, all the time. By allowing space for ALL the things, and embrace them just as they come and are, we also give space to allow ourselves to feel truly happy with what we have right now, and all that life brings on our path.
