Shaw Plaza is one of Balestier's landmark destinations – a mixed-use development bringing retail, dining and entertainment together under one roof, recently reimagined through a full renovation.

We supplied and installed Burmese teak solid timber slats for the structural ceiling finishes, and Burmese teak engineered timber planks for the floor finishes. Both were proposed and selected for their structural strength and aesthetic character, each tailored to its own application.

The result: a passage where ceiling and floor share the same warm, welcoming, and golden grain.

A staircase can move people through a space. This one gives them a reason to stay.

At Keppel South Central, timber flows across the illuminated steps, integrated seating and surrounding surfaces, creating continuity throughout the lobby.

The staircase leads to a communal lounge, while its stepped platforms offer informal places to pause, meet and gather. The result is a warm, cohesive interior where circulation, seating and material come together as one considered feature.

You have walked on it without looking down.

The floors inside the National Gallery Singapore are solid Burmese teak, while the decking outside is solid balau. Two different woods, because indoor and outdoor timber are asked to survive completely different things, and you wouldn't want to find out a wrong call was made a few years later.

60,000 square metres of former Supreme Court and City Hall, and the art still gets the attention it deserves. The floor just had to hold up underneath it.
