“House at the corner” is 2storey house with an attic and a basement in Singapore.

The site was at an elevated corner. We knew from the beginning that the beauty of the place was this openness. We imagined the house to be very open to this corner and seamlessly connected to the outside garden. We wanted to feel like you are inside the garden.

The large living/dinning room is completely open to the garden with expansive structural span with just one column at the corner. We worked closely with façade specialist to achieve the corner-less sliding doors so the living room can be totally open to the garden and the pool. In this way, the garden becomes part of the living room, creating a beautiful openness and seamless connection to the nature outside. Photography by

We are thrilled to announce our competition entry ‘Under this Shelter, You will find Rest’ was selected as the winning scheme for the SIA organised Vivekananda Cultural Centre competition. We thank Ramakrishna Mission and SIA for this tremendous opportunity to serve the community.

We were inspired by the image Sri Ramakrishna painted of thousands of people gathering under shade. Our proposal comprises 2 masses dedicated to the inward journey (self) and public service (collective) united by a single roof that creates a shaded open plaza. We will share more about the project as it progresses.

Spatial connection of the house “Linked Terrace” repeats at the home office at 2nd floor. The home office protrudes above the double volume space of the living room, giving a full view of the family watching TV below. Even at work, you feel at home 😊

Deep blue cabinet with fluted glass gives a sophisticated backdrop for an office. Dark wood and golden brass handles give warmth to the space.

The ceiling is curved at the charming crescent window to soften the sunlight coming through. This always hope those subtle details bring unique personality to the space we creat.

Air moves freely through a continuous void that runs through this 3 storey net-zero house in Singapore, carrying the voices of its inhabitants and a refreshing breeze. The curved roof shades the family spaces, which cascade down the void and are further screened by plants.
