I’ll be exhibiting at the **Singapore Clay Makers’ Market 2026** at **Booth D09**. Please stop by!

I packed up my latest pieces for transport soon after they came out of the kiln, before I had a chance to photograph them. To get a feel for my work, please take a look at my previous posts.

📅 **November 6–8**
Friday and Saturday: 11:00 AM–9:00 PM (last entry at 8:30 PM)
Sunday: 11:00 AM–6:00 PM (last entry at 5:30 PM)

One of Singapore’s largest ceramics events, it brings together more than 240 professional and hobbyist potters, pottery studios, and craft makers. You can browse and buy ceramics, and enjoy workshops and exhibitions.

Admission requires a **S$10 one-day ticket**. As an exhibitor, I’ve received several complimentary tickets. If you’re sure you’ll be coming, please get in touch. I’ll offer them to friends first, but depending on availability, I may be able to share some with people I haven’t met yet too.

240名以上のプロ・趣味の陶芸家や陶芸スタジオ、クラフト作家が出展・参加する、シンガポール最大級の陶芸イベントです。作品の販売やワークショップ、展示会が行われます。

入場には1日券（10シンガポールドル）が必要です。出店者特典として無料チケットを複数枚いただいているので、来場が確実な方は、念のためご連絡ください。まずは友人を優先させていただきますが、状況によっては、まだ面識のない方にもお譲りできるかもしれません。

A little behind-the-scenes update from the event 😊

This was my first time using an inventory system, and let's just say I learned a lot 😂

I hadn't registered any backup stock, so on the second day I had to assign barcodes from similarly priced items to products that hadn't been entered into the system. Unfortunately, that made inventory tracking almost impossible afterward 💦

For example, all six sets of 3 colored cup-and-saucer collection were sold out, but the inventory system recorded only five sets sold. The numbers simply didn't match.

As a result, I had to reconstruct the final sales figures using bank transaction records and handwritten cash notes. I usually keep the numbers private, but this time I'd like to look back on the event with some actual data.

Total sales: approximately SGD 2.3K+
After deducting the event fee and transportation costs (SGD 630), the net amount was roughly SGD 1.8K. At a different event, such as the Clay Festival, this level of sales could typically be achieved in a single day, so event type should be a key consideration for future participation.

Once I factor in the cost of materials and countless hours of work, this is definitely not profitable yet 😅

I was also incredibly fortunate to have a friend volunteer their time to help with setup and support on the second day. Thank you so much — I owe you one! 🙏

Maybe this is normal for a hobby business, but in the long run, I clearly need to improve the operational side and make things more sustainable.

Most importantly, 78 customers purchased from me over the two days — and none of them were people I knew personally.

That means more to me than any sales number.
