For this Level 2 master bedroom, the design was ๐ฉ๐ฅ๐š๐ง๐ง๐ž๐ ๐š๐ซ๐จ๐ฎ๐ง๐ ๐ญ๐ก๐ž ๐œ๐จ๐ฎ๐ฉ๐ฅ๐žโ€™๐ฌ ๐ž๐ฏ๐ž๐ซ๐ฒ๐๐š๐ฒ ๐ซ๐จ๐ฎ๐ญ๐ข๐ง๐ž๐ฌ, from getting ready in the morning to winding down at night.

The full-height headboard creates a strong focal point for the room, while the integrated lighting adds a softer feel when the main lights aren't needed.

With ๐๐ž๐๐ข๐œ๐š๐ญ๐ž๐ ๐ฐ๐š๐ซ๐๐ซ๐จ๐›๐ž ๐ฌ๐ฉ๐š๐œ๐ž๐ฌ ๐š๐ง๐ ๐š ๐๐ซ๐ž๐ฌ๐ฌ๐ข๐ง๐  ๐š๐ซ๐ž๐š, the room also keeps the practical parts of getting ready organised without taking away from the overall look.

Instead of treating the living, dining and kitchen as separate spaces, the ๐ฅ๐š๐ฒ๐จ๐ฎ๐ญ ๐ฐ๐š๐ฌ ๐ฉ๐ฅ๐š๐ง๐ง๐ž๐ ๐ฌ๐จ ๐ญ๐ก๐ž๐ฒ ๐œ๐จ๐ง๐ง๐ž๐œ๐ญ ๐ง๐š๐ญ๐ฎ๐ซ๐š๐ฅ๐ฅ๐ฒ as you move through the home.

From the living area to the dining space, then towards the kitchen, each zone has its own purpose while still feeling like part of ๐จ๐ง๐ž ๐œ๐จ๐ง๐ญ๐ข๐ง๐ฎ๐จ๐ฎ๐ฌ ๐ฌ๐ฉ๐š๐œ๐ž.

Instead of leaving this level as an underused space, the basement was designed around something the ๐ก๐จ๐ฆ๐ž๐จ๐ฐ๐ง๐ž๐ซ ๐ ๐ž๐ง๐ฎ๐ข๐ง๐ž๐ฅ๐ฒ ๐ž๐ง๐ฃ๐จ๐ฒ๐ฌ, ๐œ๐จ๐ฅ๐ฅ๐ž๐œ๐ญ๐ข๐จ๐ง.

With ๐๐ž๐๐ข๐œ๐š๐ญ๐ž๐ ๐๐ข๐ฌ๐ฉ๐ฅ๐š๐ฒ ๐ฌ๐ก๐ž๐ฅ๐ฏ๐ข๐ง๐ , ๐›๐ฎ๐ข๐ฅ๐ญ-๐ข๐ง ๐ฅ๐ข๐ ๐ก๐ญ๐ข๐ง๐  and a layout that gives the collection its own space, the basement becomes more than just another level of the house.

It is a space that feels personal to the homeowner, while still being practical enough to actually use as a family.

With multiple floors and very different needs across the home, the challenge was not simply making each space look good, it was ๐ฆ๐š๐ค๐ข๐ง๐  ๐ž๐š๐œ๐ก ๐ฅ๐ž๐ฏ๐ž๐ฅ ๐ฐ๐จ๐ซ๐ค ๐ง๐š๐ญ๐ฎ๐ซ๐š๐ฅ๐ฅ๐ฒ ๐Ÿ๐จ๐ซ ๐ž๐ฏ๐ž๐ซ๐ฒ๐๐š๐ฒ ๐ฅ๐ข๐Ÿ๐ž.

From a dedicated basement for the homeowner's collectibles, to a living and dining area that flows into the kitchen, a master suite designed for two and a kid room that combines rest, study and storage, ๐ž๐ฏ๐ž๐ซ๐ฒ ๐ฌ๐ฉ๐š๐œ๐ž ๐ฐ๐š๐ฌ ๐ฉ๐ฅ๐š๐ง๐ง๐ž๐ ๐ฐ๐ข๐ญ๐ก ๐ก๐จ๐ฐ ๐ญ๐ก๐ž ๐Ÿ๐š๐ฆ๐ข๐ฅ๐ฒ ๐ฐ๐จ๐ฎ๐ฅ๐ ๐š๐œ๐ญ๐ฎ๐š๐ฅ๐ฅ๐ฒ ๐ฎ๐ฌ๐ž ๐ข๐ญ ๐ข๐ง ๐ฆ๐ข๐ง๐.

For this chiropractic clinic, we used different depths, built-in shelving, curves and lighting to give the walls more dimension, without making the space feel cluttered.

It is a simple idea that can work just as well at home, whether you are planning your HDB living room, TV area or entryway.
