How do you keep a bustling multi-generational kitchen from looking chaotic?

We used raw microcement for the cabinetry and hid an power track right inside the backsplash to eliminate messy cords and bulky sockets. It’s a subtle, high-end detail that keeps your busiest mornings feeling completely clean, calm, and effortless. ☕✨

How do you keep a three-generation home from feeling crowded?

Instead of building restrictive walls, we used a back-to-back furniture layout to naturally zone the living and dining areas without closing them off.

By grounding the space with soft Nippon Swansdown walls and seamless travertine vinyl, the room feels entirely open yet gives everyone their own quiet pocket to unwind.

It’s proof that true luxury isn’t about adding more square footage—it’s about creating a fluid layout where a family can comfortably coexist under one roof 🕊️

Can a home be deeply intimate yet completely spacious at the exact same time?
When three generations share a 1183sqft resale HDB, you quickly realize that the standard segmented layout just doesn’t cut it.

For The Fluid Sanctuary, we stopped looking at walls and started focusing on “quiet connections”—creating a Wabi-sabi retreat where five family members can coexist beautifully without ever feeling crowded.
By using a soft canvas of Nippon Swansdown and muted travertine vinyl, the entire home serves as a seamless, breathable backdrop for daily family life.

It’s the flexibility that makes this house a home.

The kitchen is easily the heart of this home, especially since the homeowners love to bake and host friends for long afternoons. Kate designed a clever movable island that completely transforms the room’s flow, tucking away for daily life and pulling out into a full dining setup when guests arrive—all while keeping extra chairs hidden but ready.

They love how the design balances the modern luxe “look” they wanted with the practical, flexible “life” they actually lead. It truly is a home that feels visually balanced, quietly personal, and incredibly easy to live in.

Designing this Spottiswoode Park resale was about more than just aesthetics; it was about making a large space feel intentionally connected.

We reworked the kitchen to include a genius movable island and extended the master bath to create a genuine sanctuary within the home. Throughout the living areas and the two bedrooms, we used L-shaped curved ceilings and hidden storage to solve practical issues while maintaining a clean, contemporary look.

Every corner of this house was designed to feel considered, not cluttered. From the taupe limewash walls that hide unsightly aircon piping to the L-shaped curved ceilings that add height and soft light, it’s a home that breathes.

We loved incorporating the homeowners’ personal finds—like the “floral painting” in the dining area which is actually a stunning tile selection we framed to add a pop of personality to the modern palette.

A snap to erase 40 years of aging🫰✨

The homeowner grew up in this very block, and after decades away, he’s finally back.

We stripped this 130sqm resale flat down to the studs to transform it from a childhood memory into a modern luxe sanctuary.

From dated and dark to airy, curved, and quietly personal.
